Hey guys.
In this ‪@EagleDynamicsTV‬ video I'm in the F16 Viper striking an S400 SAM site with the DTOS option while deploying the CBU97 and AGM65 Maverick. Then some Air to Air fight against 2 SU30.
If you want to try this mission you will need the S-400 SAM Site MOD.
To have the mission file and the MOD you can join to my Discord where under the channel mods you can have the MOD and under the mission-file channel you can take the mission. oh, Its on the Syria map.

I love playing simulators, i started with Arma 3 and then i saw DCS World. I also enjoy War Thunder , Battlefield , Ghost recon, Squad , Rome total war, Microsoft Flight Simulator and more. I also enjoy World War II games including il-2 In DCS World i found all the jets that i wanted to fly in a simulator the F 16 Viper , FA 18 Hornet , F 15 Eagle , A 10 Warthawg , SU 27 , Mig 29 , P 51 , Spitfire , AH 64 Apeche , Heuy and more... And if you will download MODs the options are endless: F 22 Raptor, SU 57 , A 4 Skyhawk , SR 71 Blackbird , Rafale, Gripen and the list goes on.

Great video Longshot - I have not tried loft bombing in DCS, used to be a thing in a Tornado simulator back in the 1990s and I found it a fun way to "drop bombs". Stay safe Sir and I look forward to the next video!

That's nearly impossible in an area that flat with s400 ... The only things that Can get that near to the site IS a stealth aircraft or a very small drone

Usually going low for S-400 doesn't work because the are positioned with other fast responding short range SAM systems like Pantsir. However, the Turkish Airforce seems to solve the issue of taking out these systems with small UAVs armed with micromunitions tactically.

The key to a successful wild weasel operation is to start high and on the edge of a ground to air missile defense systems to get them to fire then get them reloading in a real life situation

This is why they use IADS instead of just one weapon system. IRL, flying low won't work, you'd be picked off by short-med range SAM systems like the Pantsir or any manpad.

What was the fuel state at the end of an engagement? Did you had enough to RTB? That looks like pretty decent use of an afterburner, which can have adverse effect on the fuel gauge.

Maybe he was inside it's minimum range? It's normally deployed with a Pantsir to deal with anyone that manages to get too close.

We modelled the real life minimal range. Unless you use the special TEL with the 9M96E/E2, you're basically invulnerable if you get below the 48N6DM's minimal range. The Pantsir we released recently is meant to close the gap.

Well, except in reality, it wouldn't be ZSU-23/4 defending it. It would be Pantsir, with medium range systems a bit to the front... But I guess in the game it is pretty difficult like this, too

I was going to say this, but your comment beat me. The shilka isn't used to protect these anymore. It is the pantsir 2 dual barrel 30mm and medium range missles. Far better at medium to close defense than a shilka

Would you have enough fuel to give the 2nd Maverick to the Shilka, do the Flankers, and then come back to strafe the TELARs and especially, the control vehicle? Bet those S-400 officers take time and money to prepare.

Wouldn't it be better to use mavericks first? 1. You can carry 6 so you could kill most things 2. They're longer range 3. They're so much easier to use 4. You don't need to pull up and make yourself exposed (idk how you didn't die toss bombing)

Realistically you won't be carrying 6 mavericks, that could burn your elevator. He used the bombs first because those have the highest spread, it would be able to critically damage or destroy alot of vehicles in the area. Mavericks need sometime to get on target while bombs can be dropped from a pop-up alot more easily than a maverick.

Turkey is the only country in the world that have both systems, while Greece and Bulgaria are NATO members that haveboth F-16 and S-300 together. Among those three, only Turkey is sanctioned by the USA.

What is your question? The mod in here is not the mod you mentioned.

@@LongShotChannel the issue was caused by the fact that on discord in the MODS section there is a link only to the HDS mod, which in its latest iteration (1.4.2) does not contain the S-400. Initially there was no link to the S-300 series (incl. Pantsir) mod that DOES have the Triumf. Now I think it is fixed
