These Lockheed engineers at the time probably didn't know that, they had built the most advanced fighter jet, that would last for over 30 years and beyond. What an achievement.

I remember when they were testing the raptor they flew through the chattanooga area several times, one time after dark screaming by low windows rattled dogs barking awesome America baby 😆😆

Hmm. Wasn't the maiden flight at Edwards AFB, and in this video, final approach is over houses? Something doesn't add up here...

LOOKs like the takeoff is in a "trees" area... Edwards has no trees for mile and miles, all sand and rocks...... bet this at the factory.

This is not first flight of f 22! I remember it had fallen down on its maiden flight!!!

That was the prototype YF - 22, not f22

Since it's introduction into the USAF we haven't fought adversaries with an AF of their own. Obvious answer. Raptors entered service 2005-2007. We were only fighting insurgents.
