The F-15 is awesome. But it’s time has passed as an air superiority front line fighter. It is still useful as a workhorse. Also the F-22&35 along with the B-2&21 will shape the battlefield for the F-15 to be successful. I mean I guess we’ll see what happens with Ukraine and their F-16s if they can use sead and wild weasel missions to open up the skies above Ukraine then I’d say the F-15 is still viable on its own. But if the air defense systems are too good for 4th generation fighters to gain air superiority then yeah it’s time is passing. I know the F-16s Ukraine is getting are very outdated compared to American F-16s and F-15EX’s plus they don’t have the electronic warfare capabilities and as capable anti radiation missiles. But yeah I still think it’ll be a good indicator.

We should make it a law that starting any war we can't or don't win, gets everyone who voted for it ineligible for re-election.

We won the first and second gulf war. We also accomplished the original goal of invading Afghanistan by defeating Al Queda and killing OBL. If you believe winning in Afghanistan would include turning them into a democracy and getting rid of Islamic extremism then we never could win unless we decided to glass all of the Middle East. That just wouldn’t happen. I mean I’m not a fan of the military industrial complex. But the world has benefited from a relatively peaceful century because of the United States. Russia and China would have spent decades taking over other countries if it weren’t for the United States and nato putting a check on that.
