Mairis Briedis had a trainer, Sandis Kleins, after the fight with Usyk, they broke up due to the fact that Briedis was under enormous stress and overtraining. When Briedis fought Marco Huk, he broke his own rib in the fight with his own kick, and this was already a strong sign that he was overtrained.

When Briedis was preparing for the fight with Usyk, his broken rib hurt and was constantly tormenting him, the team was unprofessional, Briedis was struggling in Spain. The coach forced me to run up and down the mountain where the temperature was constantly changing, and this also led to illness. Briedis was sick for 2 weeks.
