Waiata composed by - Te Whānau o Te Kapa Haka o Ngā Uri o Whiti Te Rā (NUOWTR)
Haka composed by @Chairhandle
The waiata acknowledges all of the areas of Tāmaki Makaurau and all the iwi that congregate there. We also mention who we are, and we finish with our haka that exaggerates who we are.
Waiata-ā-ringa - Ukaipo Hiato
Composed by - Te whānau o Ngā Uri o Whiti Te Rā (NUOWTR)
This waiata is about Maraeroa Marae and the tīpuna of that whare, Ukaipo Hiato. The waiata talks of the maararoa she created to bring together the multitudes of people in Porirua and Waitangirua.
Nau mai e ngā iwi.
Poi - Taku Poi Porirua
Composed by @Chairhandle
The poi is an acknowledgement of all the ethnicities in Porirua, paying a special mention to our cousins from the Pacific Island.
He poi tuakiritanga
Whakawātea - Whakarongo mai ki te whenua
Composed by - Te Whānau o Te Kapa Haka o Ngā Uri o Whiti Te Rā (NUOWTR)
This waiata is a message of support for our Indigenous whānau who also feel the pain of Land Confiscation.
I riro whenua atu, me hoki whenua mai.
