The Rhinoceros Beetle is aptly named because it has horns on its head, very much like the rhinoceros does. Rhino Beetles reach 60 millimetres in length. I had read that Scientists believe that the beetle has become so strong to be able to forage through heavy litter on the jungle floor and dig its way to safety. Is that true or is this just a fable? But i found this beetle that you had filmed very beautiful. And there was a big wow by me. That was on the slow motion of the flying beetle. Great footage Andrea. In your country are many spieces of birds and insects that i never seen here in my country. Thats why i like nature videos so much. Because i learn from others. 🙏🙏👍16👍

What a beautiful comment dear Tine! And also far more informative than my description! ^ ^ I do not know if the scientists are right, but what is sure is that this Beetle is really strong! Some of them got entangled in the net that I put in my field to cover the tomato plants, and I had a hard time in setting them free just because of their strength!

Ti confesso che mi ero quasi dimenticato pure il nome, ma mi pare di no. Il Cervo volante mi pareva fosse quello con le mandibole allungate a tenaglia. A pensarci pero` sembra piu' cervo questo!! ^ ^
