Same. I've been CS since pretty much the beginning. We first played CS on the Half Life mod and Vertigo was the first map my bro and played on.

I've never played Vertigo competitive until this current version we see today. I don't like it because it's way too small and you have to walk all the time. I don't think I have a stigma, the map genuinely is just cursed by its unchangeable flaws. I also miss the old color correction the first version of CSGO Vertigo.

Ain't no way you said it's easy to fake. If you throw smokes from ramp area into A and run towards B, your rotation will be heard throughout the whole map. Throwing A ramp smokes from t spawn are your biggest fakes in the whole map, not mentioning B site

Ofc ppl w/ 6-ish faceit lvls love it, cuz on fucking 6 - 8 lvl's its easy to do litteraly anything. U can rush b with no smokes and molly's and still win the round, cuz its fucking 6 lvl's

I mean yeah you can just run and gun on level 10 against bots who dont know how to play the map But easy to fake? First of all, its not easy to fake on any map if youre not against bots. And on vertigo you can hear the enemies basically around the entire map lmfao

@@meferswift I like Ancient, I really do. The layout and the potential of the map really appeals to me. But I can never get it on 3rd party servers here in SEA (level 4-6 Faceit, 5EArena, Sostronk, etc), and whenever I play it on matchmaking(DMG-LEM is my current range of ranks) I've had bad experiences in terms of match quality(imbalanced teams, 5-man vs 5 solos, cheaters). More neutral towards Vertigo but in this region, it becomes a Chinese spinbot fest real quick

Idk, but when i play in the game that has no map pool and only randomly selected maps, i don't feel like i want any of them. Maybe its an inner feeling about me having no choice, or its just situations similar to what i experienced today in valorant - i had 3 heavens in a ROW, i hate this map, hate it, but i have no choice but to play it. But in cs... Man i played 25 mirages in a row because i wanted to, and i wasn't sick of it, give me choice goddamn it, i want to play 25 ice boxes in a row!

because in overwatch since the main focus is the teamfights u dont really play the map much, especially in ranked, its generally entire team pushing/fighting one big open area and maybe a dps or two on off angles/flanking

@@nerrvous1 I do agree with you, and overwatch is nothing like cs, it simply felt the same on any location Ive played, so it kinda got boring real fast. If I play 3 games on Inferno in a row, and then find a match on Nuke, it feels like Im playing a whole new game if that makes sense. Each map has its own pace, tactics and overall mood in a way, even Vertigo. I will play vertigo if it pops up every now and then on faceit and will still enjoy the game, but it has a sort off feel for me personally.

You can play cache in mm and faceit, pretty sure they reverted most of what they did to cache, with a few minor exceptions in T spawn, around A site and something else. They even brought back simple's graffiti.

What in vertigo should be changed?

​@@brownbreadinc127 IMO T should have better spawn for ramp and mid (B meeting point is perfect). Elevator should be shortened so A site and short would be larger. Boxes at A site should be moved around to make the site less awkward (to reduce smoke spams). B stairs should be wider (maybe remove that box and make both ends of stairs wider). Ramp should be shortened. Only my opinion and I haven't tested then so I cant be 100% sure how they would turn out. Idea is to reduce spamming smokes at A and make ramp control easier for T so they don't have to fight for it every round. Also mid and B would be slightly easier for T further to endorse favour them. A should be easier to hold and retake for CT to balance the buffs T get here.

Play faceit free is very good and you have 128ticks servers and a very good anticheat

@@demondoge1715 sure thing Haven isn’t a terrible map but the three bomb sites are a mess. In higher gameplay b is hardly used as a site but I think it should just be removed and made into mid. Bind isn’t a terrible map either, I like it but I know many people who don’t because there is no mid presence at all in that many. Mid is just not existent. Split is just awful there is nothing really to say there. Back when I used to play the game a lot it was our best map but I just hate it. Icebox i actually don’t mind either, a lot of people don’t like it but the more you play it it gets better. Reminds me of dust II, the map can get annoying if certain lineups are ran but if you’re winning it’s fun. Just the design of the map is wacky. Breeze is just on the same category as split. It’s like they tried to take cobblestone and make into a Valorant map. There are way too many angles, especially to clear and a viper is a must need on that map. Ascent is actually the best map in Valorant, typically plays really well. Not much to say there besides the annoying wallbangable spams people do with the Odin. The problem with majority of the Valorant maps is that it just seems like it’s hallways connecting into hallways. No real rotations pathways to sites.

It's the Counter-Strike community special -- complaining about new things for 20 years running! Without scrub quotes, we would be nothing.

CS:GO has changed a lot for the better over the years since its release, not just the maps. The controls were slippery and recoil favored spamming.
