Not really a fair comparison seeing as the weight difference is huge! Near 400 kg is alot of difference!

TBH you should have done a rolling 30mph pull just to eliminate things like traction control, Gearbox/torque converter delay etc.

Apart from the weight, may be aero was part of it too given the Range Rover is more boxy. I would take the Jag, quite frankly the F-Pace S is already good enough for me.

That’s cool but how does the FPSVR do off-road? The RRsport may be heavier due to the suspension necessary for heavy duty off roading. Even the RRSVR has good off-roading capability.

That's my dream car there, would love a jaguar f pace SVR in light silver colour with black alloys an either red , brown or cream white interior, got a jaguar e pace 3 weeks ago it's a 2019 model p200 AWD r-dynamic s in silver with 20 inch black alloys and cream white interior an 9 speed automatic and I love it an it's quick so this f pace SVR is an absolute stunning car ,a dream for me , looks an sounds amazing an bloody fast too 👌👌👌👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💪

Great vid, I had a rrs sc before and currently an f type R, also family have alot of cars including an x5m from my experience the the x5 M would beat the svr by half a car short race or 3 car difference till 180km/ h but would lose against the f pace svr by a decent amount and are the crackles on the f pace svr different in tone then the RRS SVR??

Nice race. Lets be quite honest, the engines on the Jag F Pace and the RRSport are the same despite the RRSport being tuned more power (+25 hp). Only differences between the two is weight. RRSportSVR curb weight: 5,093 lbs. FPace SVR Curb weight: 4,395 lbs. Plus the F Pace SVR is cheaper than RR Sport SVR. The F Pace fits more with the GLC 63 rivalry.

The RRS SVR strengths lie in its abilities off-road, where with would absolutely destroy the Jag.

Launching in sport mode on the gearbox is pointless as it uses 2nd gear & not first to launch. The RRS SVR needs to be in manual mode and 1st selected to launch its best and quickest. It’s never going to beat the Jag with its extra weight while pulling in second.

I think you can get a better acceleration if you floor the brake while at the same time rev up the engine and while you floor the gas just release the brake to give the F pace a little “Launch control”

Interesting. Thinking of getting a F Pace SVR. All about the weight. I had an Aston and Ferrari at the same time. Same power but the Ferrari was 400kg lighter. Left the Aston standing, before you even get to the corners!

Nice video however inconclusive. I believe the sport mode in both vehicles is quite different. So if you start in M 1st auto you will notice a big difference with the LR. I love the Jag...however are these 2 cars any better or worse than each other in terms of reliability and quality issues? If you read Consumers Reports and many of the other magazines and videos including here...you wonder how they sell them at all! Even the Merc ML63s has engine issues. We've seen a few here that get hydro-lock even during mild rain and some instances MB didn't honor the warranty and claim user responsibility! BMW X5 M....that's for or even better IMHO X3 M!

And the trackhawk destroys the f-pace svr

I mean in terms of speed, yes, the f pace will win as it’s more comparable to a velar svr. But it’s not like the rr sport was even that behind even when it has the off-roading capabilities that it does. Plus the rr sport has a much more luxurious interior and in my opinion looks much more appealing on the outside as well. Looks to be a clear win for the rr sport to me.

I'd still rather the RR Sport instead of the cheap looking Jag anyday. All the focus is on speed these days in an environment where you can loose your licence in seconds. Cant vehicle manufacturers concentrate on building quality rather than quantity??? I've had the RR Sport and the SV vogue and their a waste of time. I now drive the crazy Bentley Bentayga V8 which is a joke when it comes to build quality. All of them loose money like lead dropped in the Atlantic ocean. An SUV is about Utility, vehicle, the sports bit doesn't mean I need to RIP of my 5 year olds head of with G force. I have a Lambo Diablo for that! As a Jaguar lover and has had quite a few models' all of them have been a nightmare with dodgy electrics, value depreciation was a joke but drove nice. In my humble ownership opinion, and had their faults' the 2006 models XKR was the best Jaguar ever build. It was a modern version of the E type and boy the supercharger was a tool. Those was the days of real Jags. I wouldn't spend a penny on that new plastic crap on this video. JLR has lost my respect and money period.

I love the design of the Jag but overall the range Rover is the one I will get. The presence and wow factor is just superior to the Jag..and the range has probably the best interior I've seen in an SUV.
