Don´t you worry, Russia ain´t as big and dangerous as it seems. Yes....on KZfaq one can see advanced weaponsystems and weapons, that´s true. But what´s also true is that the mainpart of the Russian forces is poorly equipped, some units carrys weapons from the 80ths so it´s not allover hightech, just what they want to show. If one compare the level of knowledge and skills, the Swedish soldiers is among the best trained in the world, carrying modern weaponry. Ive had the oportunity to compare this over more then 20 years in the defensive forces of Sweden where ive met hundreds of collegues from allover the world, discussing, comparing, sharing ideas and tacticts. I remember especially one occasion where we had a demonstration of Battalion attack and defense of taken territory during winter, deep snow and about -23c. Invited was officers from Nato and former Eastblock countrys.. One of the Candian officer i spoke to said " What the heck, ive never seen units move so fast and hitting with sutcha power and accuricy as in this batallion, i hope that we never have to go to Winterwar with you guys"...that pretty much says it all about the overall impression these guys brought home with them. Oh...as a result, the Hägglunds came to sell a whole bunch of 206 to Canada and later on England. But sure, quality is good....but it takes quantity aswell, rebuilding slowly but surely.
