I cannot believe I found this game, after more than 15 years of vague early childhood memories I finally found it.

I think that graphically it is the most elaborate fzero of the 16bits. The roads are quite textured and the ship rotations have a large number of frames.

32bit. no way will you ever see these graphics on a 16bit console. not even on a neogeo.

懐かしいなぁ… MASTERクラスの中でSILVERを１位優勝したらリュウがファルコンになって隠しマシンで出るんだよなぁ… 他にもバーサーカーとハイパーゾーダもMASTERクラスで全１位取ると隠しマシンも全部取れる。

懐かしい。コース1は曲がり角が多すぎて苦手コース2見えない、ピットが少ないからエネルギー切れでブーストが後半使えない3は運ゲー4地雷多すぎで走行ラインが作れない。とても参考になります！！コース2のショートカット2パターンありますよね。この動画は安全策のショートカットか。

I continue to be baffled by Japan only releases that have majority English dialogue and text on screen. Why is that?

I think it's the result of respecting the world view of the game. It's just that the kids who played this game couldn't understand the English voice and text.

My guess is that canonically, English is the lingua franca of the F-Zero universe, so they have everything in-universe in English.

@@MichaelTheRead Hardly. The commentary is unnecessary and annoying, and they didn't have to make this the last installment in the franchise. Could have had a game for one of their consoles or the 3ds. Instead this is it. The climax to the F-Zero franchise. What a low note to end on.

Sean yeah this is a good game but like you said the constant commentary is annoying as all hell and drags it down for me personally

@@cosmicminun59 there was but not nearly this much. That being said. I’d say these people aren’t giving this game enough credit. It’s the best 2D f-zero made. And even if it didn’t come out, the series would’ve ended with GP Legend, not GX. GX is the best in the franchise but this is a perfect note for the series to “end” on with its play style of the original, music inspired by X and backgrounds and story inspired by GX.

The one on N64 is a masterpiece, and so is the one on GameCube, GX. The ones released on the Gameboy advance were all quite excellent too in their own right.
