Imagine spending hours of your life trying to complete a cup in master mode just to get rewarded with a video of an octopus man doing an striptease. Sounds totally worth it if you ask me.

I like how in this game they put in so much detail to secret characters that 90 percent of the games players would never unlock, by giving them in depth backstories, unique questions for their victory interviews and they all have their own completion videos. Yet we are in 2020 where most game developers don’t put in the same commitment to secret characters and focus more on DLC.

I remember when i first discovered these i thought they were so ridiculous. I still do. This game had a good sense of humor.

Considering that the studio who made F-Zero GX would later go on to make the Yakuza franchise, the humor in these cutscenes really make sense.

Man F-Zero GX doesn't get enough recgonition, the game has a ton of tracks, 41 characters, a story mode AND a custom character builder. And each character has voice over for the interview questions (and among them several personal questions), a short movie, their own music track, a biography and several palette swaps (for both them and their car). It is honestly an insane attention to detail.

It is curious how the game is opposite to the anime series. The only serious stuff in the game is chapter of the gp in story mode and (lightly) Deathborn' s "evil" plans; even Black Shadow is a joke. In the anime, Black Shadow' s a monster and most of the characters are more serious. The thing is the game was made for teens if I'm not worng and the series non-canonical. The game's awesome still now-days.
