honestly if you took the star fox 2 thing where you're being on the defensive and the offensive, but with 4 players, and expand that to support the party splitting to cover 2 levels at once but with the caveat that levels are all balanced for 4 players, that would be immensely cool, if that makes sense.

Balan Wonderworld isn't that much different from "Kid Chameleon" on the Sega Genesis in terms of game mechanics, so you could say Kid Chameleon was a "Wonder-like", lol. Costumes giving you powers hasn't really been exclusive to Balan Wonderworld; Balan just made that game mechanic and concept infamously bad.

Not really, it's basically a way to let Nintendo know we want more, care about and still love F-Zero so they could make a new one, and for what it's worth the game is pretty addicting (imo)

@@dhi_holo the mini grand prixs do do this too, dropping 5 players per lap for 3 races. You start the last race with 60 people In theory the full grand prix for 5 races would be the same, with the last race starting with 20 and the last lap being top 5

IMO the new Peach game gives Kirby Epic Yarn vibes, this arts-n-crafty game just meant to be cute and not hard at all, with the unique powers being used only for very specific level segments.

@@aperson1896Mario 35 was ANNOUNCED as a limited time game. F-Zero 99 wasn't. Pac-Man 99 is being taken down cause licensing. Tetris 99 hasn't. F-Zero 99 will potentially last quite a bit.

This is a test to see interest on the series again. It was a cheap way to see how many people will play and how well online connection will work as well as how much are disappointed in a reused game (which is a good thing as it shows Nintendo people want a new one)
