Take into consideration the fear factor, real pilots do not pilot as if the walls and barriers do not actually exist There are actual consequences to crashing, for themselves, the car, the finances of the team, etc. They do not pilot like someone would in the safety of their house and behind a screen 😂 Also, they don't have infinite laps to train, the track is available for them only a few hours one week per year. Ofc there is the simulator, but still. They're using it mostly to set up the car in advance if I'm not mistaken. I don't think they would manage to win 4 seconds though, but what I mean is that virtual time records on Monaco have to be disconnected to the actual real timed laps in F1, those two things are nothing alike.

@@FutureDarkJedi yeah but on previpus games the gap wasnt as massive, in fact f1 2020 is slower than this with a faster gen of cars

@betelgeuse227 I'm not contesting that the handling isn't easier, it definitely is But imo it doesn't feel too unrealistic, pushing like a mad lad results in high tyre wear and punishes you in the end (in races ofc, not in time trials) And I kinda enjoy the way I battle with my car when I go over the limit, more than in previous iterations But ye, it allows stuff like being faster than actual f1 drivers

It's even 4s faster than the Monaco Lap Record, which is a 1:10.1 set by Lewis Hamilton in 2019.

The handling is more realistic so it's easy for real race car drivers to use. Just look at the Lando and Leclerc video.

@@GodTierCommentsit’s not more realistic, there are some more realistic parts yes, but these cars go 5 seconds quicker then the real ones, in what way is that realistic? Also lando probably drove an earlier version of the game

I feel like this game just really punishes you for flicking the steering wheel into corners. I am curious if people that drive in a smoother fashion seem to have better cornering stability?
