@David JR F1 has 0 competition 90% of the time the person who starts the race finishes the race first, it's always Red Bull Ferrari or Mercedes, how is that enjoyable? meanwhile on NASCAR they go 205-210 MPH on an oval track which may sound boring but fr, the battles the crashes the photo finishes and the crowd is just way better at NASCAR than at Formula 1, and also Nascars dont sound like vacuum cleaners lol, props to F1 though for the technology that's involved in that sport. But yeah i'd rather watch NASCAR than Formula 1.

Fun story - no green light in F1! Five red lights are lit in succession, when all five are lit, they are simply turned off and the race is on. F1 drivers are so quick that when they used green, people started when the red was turned off and before the green was lit so it was dropped!

I saw the shake down of the brand new AMG GT3 cars at the Slovak ring last year, weren't supposed to be there but some how were let in. As we were approaching the track you could hear them full pelt down the main straight, said to the wife "that's an AMG that is". Absolutely unmistakable sound. Amazing experience to be the ONLY ones in the grand stand watching them test their cars, even the pit crew were surprised we were there haha Obviously not a patch on the cars above, but impressive none the less.

@zachogdahl210 absolutely love experiencing things like that. Have only experienced it a handful of times. Once with a road car wrx sti that was rally spec tuned. Was sat in a caravan at the time and as it rolled past it shook the whole caravan another time was probably about 12 years ago or so, Aston Martin in cardiff was loading their DBR9 (I'm assuming the same one that was on top gear at the time) onto the back of a lorry. I was on a bus that stopped right opposite it, and even though it was just barely over tick over it caused most of the people on the bus to put their hands to their ears. Incredible feeling they were. Wish I could experience this more

Got to see them at Albert Park many time and the v8s and its a sound and feeling you can describe you can feel it in you chest and your ears are lingling

I got to experience the V10 era and all I got to say is you absolutely did miss out on seeing them….. yep you sure should of gone to see them….. I will never forget what I experienced

It really pales in comparison. My first race in ‘17 I was a little shocked how low they sound, the Porsche Cup cars were louder. I got to hear the F1 two seater with a V8 that I’m sure was tuned waaay down. Omg that was glorious.

agreed... as a fan for 25 years who watched 90% of races, this year, ive watched none..the cars are ugly and sound terrible..... bring back wide cars, with v10's and 950hp, get rid of drs and all the stupid WWE gimmicks, and ill be back in a flash... for now, i watch indycar and nascar (i encourage any open wheel fan to watch indycar... its truely great racing)
