Trying to get my track times down. 11.4 seconds is the best lap time on my track. I did it with my Carrera Digital F1 car

Just watched about 5 seconds of 7 videos to work my way back to this view in this video it was like unwrapping layers of wrapping paper worth the suspense and what a layout it is . Spectacular 👌

Looking good there, Anthony. Check model railroad (HO) sources for ideas for enhancing your layout. I'll bet they even have ducks for your pond. P.S. (Fix your title.)

Anthony, simply put, I’m in awe here. What type of power supply are you using with that size layout, is it a DC power supply? I’m a newbie and I started out this year with a Evolution track 1/24 with 1/32 cars to get my feet wet and I’m hooked. I just bought some more track and two new cars. The local shop has regular racing in the side area of the store, but it is closed due to Covid-19. I will probably go digital but I wanted to get the basics down like controlling the cars into hairpin turns, drifting and learning the different characteristics of the different cars. I bought two extra cars. I found a new local shop in the area, but they are out of digital sets so when ever I make the switch I will have plenty of extra track. I’m glad that I went with Carrera. This reminds me of playing with my dad with an AFX set. Keep the videos coming.

thank you for the kind words. I use an independent power supply. I paid about $80 for it. About 16 volts to power my layout. I have 5 jumper wires to ensure even power throughout the 140 feet. You made a great choice with Carrera. I think pound for pound it's the best system. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you.

@@MrAramsey4979 thank you Anthony, how do you jump wires to power the track and is this done at different points.
@MrAramsey49793 жыл бұрын
@@sidvicious3129 You can find videos on KZfaq that show you how. But you can jump from the control track to different points on your track. You just have to be consistent with the wiring going to the right rails. It's not hard just takes a little focus. You can google jumper wires for slot car track and you'll find sufficient info. I used speaker wire...it's cheap.

Currently yes...but I'm considering changing it.

@@MrAramsey4979 Thanks for the reply. Another question. The foam you used to inlay your track. Was it taller then your track. If so how did you get it to sit flush
@MrAramsey49793 жыл бұрын
@@SlotCarDojo I think I used 1/2" or 3/4"...take a piece of track to Home Depot and compare. That's what I did. I used Owens Corning foam insulation sheets.
