We don't do secret Santa in Finland. Kimi probably didn't quite get the idea.

@@user-zv8qg1co4z Yes, actually there's no secret santa almost anywhere outside of US and Canada. In Brazil it's called "secret friend" which you go in front of the room and give hints on who your friend is, and when people find out who it is, you can give your friend the present. And then your friend goes in front of the room and so on...

Vettel had permission to go because of the birth of his third child. The Merc boys didnt do it out of respect of Bottas' divorce that got announced that weekend, which is also why they werent in Grill the Grid

If you view gifts as monetary benefits I can understand your view. I see gifts as tokens of appriciation, and then it makes sense. Many of these gifts were well thought out and considerate, like Lances gift to George or Kimis for Sergio. Not of big monetary value but very sweet.

There were gifts for his whole family - the dog and little slippers for his kid(s), hat and gloves for his wife and chocolate for him. Very sweet, although yes it was probably Kimi's wife choosing everything :)
