I remember a classic quote from Murray Walker during the Winfield sponsored years... I think it was something like... "It looks like someone has taken a cannon full of sponsors and fired it at the car...!" So right Murray!

HP inherited space on sidepods from the British gp 2002. And the Keep your distance! Writing appeared on the rear wing during FP in Imola 2001 after Williams drivers have been hit 4 times in the previous races.

Special mention should go to the 2006 Williams for featuring the Cosworth CA engine. The first F1 engine to crack 20,000 Rpm.

Yeah. Those cars were beautiful, but this is about Williams liveries, not Rothmans ones. They sponsored multiple Motorsport teams that were completely unaffiliated with another.

The fw33 did something ive never seen before or after it from any team. It had a throwback livery, why thats not a concept in f1 ill never know cuz it would bring such a serious spice to the sport that it desperately needs

Another brilliant video. I just need to correct you on a couple of small points. The FW06 chassis started the 1979 season and was then replaced by the FW07 after four races. That chassis then raced in updated form until 1982, when Keke Rosberg stepped into the FW08 and won the 1982 World Championship.

Williams has always been missing that yellow in their cars.....always a crucial element. Although despite the car been a bit of a dud, I kinda loved seeing the unusualness of the red Winfield Williams.

If I may point out an error (if sb else has already, sorry), at @4:09 the chassis was actually the FW07. The FW09 wasn't in use until '83.

Rothmans actually sponsored Subaru in rallying. It also sponsored Porsche in sportscar racing in the 80s.

Great video but I think you will find Wolf elbowed and forced Frank out of his team and sent frank onto a depression until Frank started again with Williams Grand Prix Engineering as it is

Walter Wolf had the 300% financial ability while Frank Williams struggled....It wasn't fare but for Wolf was business... Beside Wolf took a big name on the team Jody Schecter on the other side....Frank stood by Arturo Merzario...a mediocre driver...

When you began on the 1979 car you said the wrong chassis. It was the FW07 that Williams raced with.

Dude..interesting videos..and love the idea..but PLEASE..slow your speech done..do not race(no pun) through your info..it comes off garbled and sometimes hard to understand...and lower vol on the music might help..anyways..you have great ideas..explore the drivers..their histronics..James Hunt is my fav..and along with Jackie Steward..heck, they are all great people of interest..the 60's..70's had some of the quirkiest drivers of all time i think....good luck..
