The career progression in the debut F1 Manager game by Frontier lacked in difficulty and unpredictability - but is F1 Manager 2023 any different? To find out I went all the way through to the end of the 2030 season in the career mode. But how much will have changed during those seasons in the world of Formula 1 and does it play out any differently to last year's release?

This was an excellent video. If they tuned the driver progression/team management, the game would improve greatly.

Completely agree. Just a shame Frontier spend too much time on the on-track side of the game and neglect the actual team management side of it.

@@PSLRacing Isn't it very common that games more focused on graphics do tend to put the management aspect in the background. All sports game that got superb graphics lacks mostly in the heart of the management of that sport.

The game needs more impacting dynamics for drivers and staff. FM has a great and effective system and you can see the impact of good/bad dynamics for your team. FM is a different game, however F1 manager needs to take a tonne from that series to make it more challenging and unpredictable.

17:18 - I have a similar situation with Bearman at Mercedes (F1M22). When I took him, in 2023, after I haven't extended Lewis' contract, due to his high wage, I took Bearman as his replacement. High potential, high aggression, rated 70 (82 when he left) and hired for $400k/year. When I've tried to extend his contract, in 2028, he asked for $13M/year. Ok, he was a great 2nd place, he scored a lot of points that helped Mercedes winning the WCC every year, but come on, 7 race wins in 5 years?! I even made a test. I've replaced Piastri (3 WDC, 86 rated) mid season with Hadjar (rated 79) and he outclassed him in FP, Q and race. Both having the SAME car and similar attributes. I would had accepted to offer him $5M/year, but not $13M. At the end of the season I took Jak Crawford (rated 79) and Bearman is ... still a free agent. I think he will retire in 2 years without a seat. 🙂

Nice video! Tbh one thing I want in F1 Manager is defo online! Also maybe driver injuries so that the reserve driver could actually be brought in to race like Lawson this year

By the time they added that I had almost recorded through to 2030, so I don't have a lot of experience with it.
