I would actually have to contridict your recommendation to update the CFD and Wind Tunnel. It's MUCH more cost effective, higher returns on your parts and effects every part you create (not just the ones you create with CFD and Wind Tunnel time) if you upgrade your Suspension Simulartor and Car Part Test Centre. The cost to upgrade them is the same BUT it's a lower cost per month to maintain. As to the parts themselves, the CFD and Wind Tunnel, will only be utilized on a limited number of parts per season.

I’m on season 3 with Mclaren and I’m feeling the effects of not upgrading any of my facilities 😢😭

Same start getting the car upgraded and performing good new season and it's at the bottom again
