Prost win with renault honda and ferrari .that s why i can say he was better , winner with any car . Senna has just win with honda.

I remember at the time thinking karma played out in the end. As great as Ayrton was, he was no gentleman in F1. Kinda reminds me of Schumacher, another one, karma wins every time.

There's no guilt between wolves. Gentlemen is a flimsy concept. Senna crashed because he was 100% devoted to being the best, fastest driver every time he stepped into a car on a track. Schumacher wasn't as intense but had a similar love of speed. It reminds me of Pete Maravich dying on a basketball court years after he'd stopped playing and hadn't been on a basketball court for a decade or more.

Just another thought, Shumacher never got ANY pole positions while senna was Alive. Says it all really.

I give you just another thought, Schumacher never bitched out of his team when he wasn't competitive, Senna did. Schumacher worked for everything, until he was competitive, never took the easy way and had the same people behind him since day one. Show me someone else that did the same in F1, until then, Schumacher owns Senna, the results speak for itself!

Just a thought Prost did get pole positions against Senna, including a few where senna just had no answer to Prost`s stunning pace not that pole position matters. How many of the pole positions did Senna manage to convert to wins? How many times did Senna set pole only for Prost to be faster in the race ? Senna fanboys are so obsessed with pole positions that they forget the race is rather more important.

Well that's a clearly biased statement. For starters, you can't compare drivers that were never teammates. Secondly at no stage, other than 1994 could you argue that Schumacher had a car on the same level as Sennas, and even then Senna's car had a substantial power advantage. 1994, one was at Senna's home, so of course he'd get pole there, and Imola is a total power circuit, so he should have got that too, which he did. Even in 1993 when both had Ford engines, the McLaren had one that was usually a generation newer than those Benetton used, nor did they have the traction control the McLaren had until later in the season. Schumacher qualified ahead of Senna plenty of times, but Pole Positions in late 91 (when Schumacher joined) were usually filled by Williams drivers, as they were in '92 and '93. Senna, over one lap, may very well have been faster, even against Schumacher in his prime (maybe)...but the latter was a better all-round Driver. The saddest part is, all those questions were tragically cut short.

How many of the 13 poles achieved by Prost in 1993 did he convert to wins in one of the most dominant cars of the 1990's? How many poles did Prost blow in 1993? Senna never achieved 13 poles in one season so I guess Prost was just as obsessed with pole as Senna was but was on most occasions unable to compete with Senna in qualifying.

Bentwito, How many of the races in 1988 in the dominant Mclaren that Senna was on pole did he convert to wins? 5 of the races Senna was on pole Prost won, Prost won both the races he set pole position on. 1988 with less power Prost did not often try for pole, he preferred to concentrate on the race. The same in 1989. Didn`t Senna set 13 poles in the most dominant car and how many of those did he convert to wins?

Statistics prove that Prost was better than Senna. In fact, statistics show a lot of drivers were better than Senna.

I would shade Senna because he got the most out of bad to good cars (Toleman, Lotus, 92/93 McLarens) which other teammates couldn't consistently do. But the price he had to pay for his aggressive, flat out style and raw speed was more DNFs than Prost. Rain driving is better than Prost but that's a technique you either have or don't. Mansell was a better racer than Prost but couldn't keep his Lotus on the road at a wet Monaco 84, when it mattered while Prost did. Calling Senna a hare and Prost a tortoise is a dubious and wrong analogy. The Odd Couple more like. Either way I respect both drivers. They had great sides, and some dark sides to their characters. And frankly, F1 will never find drivers today to match their charisma. Their driving styles would be considered anachronisms today.

I don't think Senna was arrogant, Piquet was ! Senna was competitive and of course he stayed angry with all politics that cause lot of trouble to his career like 89 just to cite one

Frank. Senna had trouble in 1989 but most of it was his own doing. Politics did not cause Senna to have 4 collisions in just one year. 1990 Senna was very lucky to get away with the very dangerous deliberate collision and having been let off the race ban at the end of 1989 you would think he had learnt his lesson.

Benito Lonard let's see, drivers better that Senna, Fangio, Clarke, G. Hill, Brabham, Stewart, Lauda, Prost, Piquet, Schumacher. See that's Senna out of the top ten. That doesn't even include the 30 or so drivers who were better but didn't have the opportunity to get into a competitive car. Plus the 100 or so I know of who weren't spoilt little rich kids like Senna so could afford to get into f1.

Does anyone think that Schumacher would have won several world championships against senna in a good car? I don't think so but Prost did just that. something to think about.

Prost was areal genius and teacher of course he could have got more world titles even with struggle against senna !!!. he told himself in an interview. senna was great also but prost inroduced him to the f1 in a way when getin' to maclaren. yes schmacher was great as well but no competitors against him like it was between senna and prost !!.

Prost ein absoluter Rennfahrer 😂 er muß auch bei Regen schnell fahren können. Prost haste Regen. Donington 1993 Das war eine Lehrstunde für Prost, er hatte das beste und es nützte nichts wenn man im Regen nicht schnell fahren kann. Senna konnte beides im Trockenen und im Regen. Senna wäre 1993 schon zu Williams Renault gegangen weil Honda aus der Formel1 ausstieg und sie das beste Paket seit 1992 hatten aber Prost verhindetre das er hatte wohl Angst das er dasselbe erlebt wie bei Mc Laren gedemütigt zu werden vom schnelleren Senna. Die Poles alleine sagen ja alles.. Der Ford Motor war zu schwach da gewinnt man kein Rennen gegen den starken Renault Motor und den überlegenen Williams mit seiner Fahrwerkstechnik.. Und wenn Senna nicht in Imola verunglückt wäre hätte er etliche Siege mit Williams Renault gewonnen. Ein Hill war nicht ansatzweise so schnell wie Senna und selbst er wurde Weltmeister genau wie Villeneuve also was hätte wohl Senna erreicht. Schumacher war nicht 1x auf Pole 1994 obwohl der Wiiliams am Anfang Probleme hatte und schwer zu fahren war er schaffte es Hill nicht. Senna konnte sein Können mit Mc Laren eindrucksvoll unter Beweis stellen Prost unterschätzte ihn wie Alonso damals Hamilton. Prost hatte länger bessere Autos als Senna war länger bei Mc Laren. Prost war gut Senna war besser,.
