Max is surely one of the most misunderstood guys on the grid. I'm a Leclerc fan but I can't help but like and respect Max. His mentality is spot on and he has a maturity beyond his years.

as an italian and a ferrari fan i can't really praise max enough, he's very mature and super objective. he got the best mindset on the grid hands down. that's why he's champion.

I’ll never understand why people dislike Max. He’s a genuine guy. He loves the sport. Is dedicated to the sport. And he pursues his dreams and goals passionately. Nothing wrong with that. I also feel like he would sit down and chat with you about life all day if you caught him at the right time. He’s a good guy.

I can't help but love this guy. He probably has the worst reputation on the grid, but I actually think he's one of the most likeable ones. He's just always so genuine and honest. It never feels like he's just putting on some PR speech or saying certain things to get clout. Very mature, level headed guy. And much more funny than people give him credit for.

I like his straightforwardness and honesty.. Just there to race hard and no other BS.. No hypocrisy, fake political correctness and backstabbing like you see a lot in F1 unfortunately..

Max is just so based it's hard not to root for him. He's not championing some cause, unless that cause is motor racing. He's exactly who you'd want as a teammate and a genuinely nice guy with a sense of humor. I'm old enough to be his dad and growing up in a sports car family, have been following F1 for many many decades. Like Hamilton, Schumacher, Prost, Senna and Stewart, he's a special talent and a once in a generation driver. A deserving WDC and DC did a wonderful interview here.

Max is really a good person, most of the people dont know him, unless if they have seen this interview, too. Watch his docuus, his past...for sure he is not arrogant. Some time he was in Amsterdam walking and shopping (mistake) so it went overcrowded, but still he gave all the people his time, no bad words, no escaping....and another fine story is that every year he gets on a holiday he takes his best friends with him.....and they never pay a share for the holiday. There are not much people who do this for friends, right? MAX IS A SUPER MAX.

I wish Channel 4 was the choice for worldwide broadcast F1 instead of those sad bunch of gaslighters from Sky. Great interview again with Max, thank you DC!

Really good job by David Coulthard! I enjoyed the self deprecation about his own achievements... to me it displayed humility but not a lack of confidence. David had a very fine career. Max I rate more and more as well. His calm and humble demeanor, and positive, realistic mindset makes him a great role model. Fantastic interview all round.

Lets face it: before Max come into F1 it was a boring Mercedes show and we wanted more excitement. Max gave us exactly that.

And just before he gets of the boat, he thanks the man sailing the boat. Great personality.

The guy is very mature for his age and very down to earth. He is direct, what is very Dutch. Some consider that as being rude, but that has nothing to do with that. It is just honesty.

The name of the boat goes well with Max’ character: nicely chilled. He’s very straightforward and doesn’t play mind games or make back stabbing remarks like some other drivers do. More aggressive than some people like, but definitely a very talented driver who brings excitement on the track. Keep it going Max!

Verstappen is so refreshing in his personality. Straight to the point, others can learn from that. Also, without him, the hybrid era would have been so boring, he is the only one that stood up against mighty Mercedes and beat them in the end. Refreshing. Keep it up Max.

What a fantastic interview this makes sky sports look even worse than what they actually are, I wish there was a channel 4 type team on sky Max Verstappen is a sensational racer and also very likeable and honest. The last lap or 2021 is one of my greatest ever memories of Formula 1 and also my life because I was celebrating with my family on that amazing night so that makes that moment even greater for me, Max is well on his way already to becoming a legend of the sport and he will win way more races and titles in the future but for now we can enjoy the Max of the moment fast, entertaining, thrilling to watch and very every exciting Best of luck for the rest of the season champ go and get world title number 2

Really changed my opinion about Max after watching this interview, great driver, great champion, respect. David's interviewing skills are also impressive.

This right there is the reason why I am a huge Max fan. Let me put some context. We all know that most of us will never become an F1 driver, let alone be on the level as Max. We know that all celebrities try their hardest to seem relatable (which fails most of the time), however, listening to Max, how he carries himself, how he treats other drivers, how he responds to praise and criticism comes from a place where his family really wants the best for him. I am not saying that Lewis didn't have that, what I am saying is what you do with what you have and how you utilize what you have to best is what matters. There is this saying that my dad told me, "Treat winning and losing the same" What it means is don't give winning or losing more power than it should. Just as Max said, he stays in the middle. #MaxMaxMaxSuperMaxMaxMax

This was my favourite interview with Max verstappen when became world champion 🏆 🥇 in 2021 season and can remember them talking about other f1 drivers like Lewis Hamilton seven times world champion and Charles Leclerc the f1 drivers from Monaco 🇲🇨 and geart Max verstappen has been doing so in world championships in the 2022 f1 season.

After this latest Silverstone Lewis said that he and Leclerc could safely go alongside in the turn, meaning/claiming that it was MAX' fault last year that they crashed.. And yet in this interview Max says he forgets and forgives quickly.. And HE was the one that crashed at 50 g's.. HE was the one that went to the hospital, and had a DNF which changed the season. And HE let it go.. And Lewis.. well he got a 10 second time penalty pointing him out to be the one that caused the collision.. (he hit the apex with leclerc but missed it completely with Max) Guess what.. Lewis still won that race. And yet.. Lewis just can't seem to let it go. Embarrasing. Max has the right idea, and can be proud how opposite he is on this to Lewis.

Nothing like a very quick normal F1 driver with no agenda. The way I like my drivers. Like Michael. Bravo Max.

Im a Hamilton fan for years but i stil have huge respect for Max atchivment he is no doubt a great racing driver.

I only started to get into F1 and I have no favorites at all, but Max is a real down to earth dude. He's straight forward, speaks his mind clearly and concisely, he's just there to do what he's been doing since the age of 4 and that's to race. Considering the drama behind the scenes that I've been reading about and seeing, he's got it right. Amazing.

I am very glad Max won the championship! It finally brought the end to the Mercedes dominance! It was a real pain to watch races knowing who would win and what team as well, with Max we got some great thrills and made 2021 so good!

As a lifelong Hamilton fan, I don't understand the fans who hate on Max. He won personality of the year for 3 years in a row for a reason & his talent has been evident since his debut. He absolutely deserves his success

Unpopular opinion as British fan but Max and K.Mag my two fav drivers in recent years, was very happy to see K Mag return. Ran round my garden celebrating his championship win in similar fashion to the way I celebrated the Trippier FK at the last World Cup 😂

Max is a great example for the dutch youth. He is a world citizen , open minded and sees the world from many different perspectives. Formula 1 world has really made him to a great human being. Max as a dutch citizen with a foreign background " I am really proud of you"! You set a great example for the rest of dutch the society. Keep it up brother!

I am huge Lewis fan, but I will always have a soft spot for Max. I think Formula 1 wouldnt be the same without him. The 2021 title was such an exciting year to watch as spectators and both drivers deserved it. Of course I wanted Lewis to win and was pretty bummed out and upset when he lost but hey it happens. All I hope for is Lewis and Max to have some on track battles this year!

This is a very enjoyable interview with David Coulthard portraying to me the polite, friendly and still mildly 😃confrontational character of true Brits. Though I am a Max fan I love David even more. He has been interviewing on Dutch TV more often and is just a pleasure to watch. Chapeau David!

I was initially a Max fan because he contested Lewis, who I think is very fake, but as I saw more interviews and learned more about this young man he has earned my respect. He takes the worst that the British F1 press can shovel out and churns out podiums in return with a smile. #supermax

Max has always been a "future world champion" from the outset. It was always going to be when rather than if he was going to be champion. He became champion because he seized the opportunity rightly or wrongly presented to him in abu dhabi. An opportunity that was there because he had earned to be in that position from some fiece competative driving all season. Whether you agree or not over the outcome in AbuDhabi you cannot blame max for doing his job and taking the oppotunity which was presented to him as any champion driver would do so.
