Just want to point out, Romain's physical shape. He withstood a 53G crash, 20+ seconds between flames and somehow didnt passed out, then escaped the car and jumped out the wall. Mad Props to him.

I still think 53G getting out of the car on his own with the eventual help of medical staff then corner workers. Miracle is not too strong of a word even with the HANS device, HALO, nomex suit and everything else.

Also before he grabbed on to Grosjean's arm u can se him being pushed back by the flames but takes a step back in to grab and pull Grosjean away from there. He is getting seared by the heat and yet he still stays there to grab Grosjean and pull him away.

It was kinda funny because the instant he crashed and the fireball the safety car just spawned into the frame with lights on in the camera of turn 4 which would be the first people to help him. He talked in the interview how relieved he was when he realized some1 was physically close when he walked out and some1 was talking to him. And those people basically spawned in. I guess they mustve been following the cars.

Yes, and one of my favorites racers is Max, and one of the reasons I like him is because he has that strong personality of his, BUT having said, I disagree with his opinion about resuming race after a crash like that, minding you, he said that if he was “a team boss” and after something like that the driver refused to return to race he would tell the driver that then he’d never sit on that seat again. Nothing could be more Max than saying that type of thing. Specially because you know he means it, but what made me laugh hard at that statement is the fact that Max team boss would absolutely be like that, at the same time that Max as a driver would likely not be daunted by that crash, BUT if there ever is a crash that is horrible even with not a fatality obvious right then and there, and Max felt unsafe or willing to put himself to return to race himself that way to take a risk, he would absolutely, simply say NO! And not go and resume racing. Cause he is just that type of person it seems, he does what he wants, he doesn’t seem the type of racer who would do something that he himself thought he shouldn’t, but would do because a boss is telling him to. In my view that is the type of personality Max has, and that is why he is one of the leaders of F1, it’s not just his driving talent, and consequently results, but it’s the personality of a leader that F1 has in him working behind the steering wheel of a F1. Maybe it’s just me, but in this grid he is one of those (probably the most) that reminds me of F1 drivers in the past all the way up to Senna. It’s the whole package there, I never felt him to be my one favorite racer there any point, but I’ve always thought he is one racer that reminds me of the sport in the past all the way to the 80 ‘s.

I have seen an interview by Grosjean about the crash, where he describes what he did and how he got out of the car. Basically the broken guard rail was above his head, and when he tried to get out of the car he was stuck inside, his helmet was hitting the guard rail. So he had to do some body cortotioning to squeeze himself between the halo and the guard rail to get out. Moreover, his shoe got stuck in the pedals area, so he had to stop his escape attempt and pull with his leg with all his strenght to free his foot from the shoe. What he managed to do after a 53g force crash is incredible. His escape is miracle, I'm so glad he made it out alive and with nothing but some minor injuries.
