The HaloLifts Mountain Package manufactured by Elka, is a level kit & lift kit for the f150 Ford Tremor. It comes in a 2.0 diameter shock coil-over or a 2.5 diameter shock and coil-over. The full leveling kit includes rear shocks, SPC upper control arms and block. Today we dive in and talk all about the Tremor's suspension and what our thoughts are on this package.

I run 315 70 R17 with 2 1/2 inch LVL with and have zero rubbing with a +18 offset I haven’t done any rock crawling though so it may rub just a little fully flexed

Hi Mike, thanks for watching! I pull a 21ft bass boat no issues. If you continually pull heavy weight airbags do help. I know of a few guys who are running them and are very happy with the outcome the airbags on the back.

I'm really really happy with the Halolifts. Ride is great and the suspension hasn't had one issue yet out on the trails.

Looks like a nice kit for sure. I ended up going with a Tremor specific lift kit from Rough Country. I'm sure it's not as good as the HaloLift, but it's $2k cheaper and has great reviews from Tremor owners. Nice find!

How is the articulation on the Rough Country kit? Did you lose a lot of travel compared to the Halo Kit or stock Tremor?

@@therealthomas I haven’t been able to really test it out completly because life keeps getting in the way. So far it’s working out really well. I won’t be using my truck for extreme stuff anyways, especially not taking it off road and beating on it every week or even every month. I think everyone needs to be realistic on what their real world use will be and do you need an expensive, over-the-top, kit so you have the peace of mind that you won’t have something break in the middle of nowhere. We go camping, love going off the beaten path, and I wanted a truck that can reliably do that. So far I’ve done some light offroading with this kit (and upgraded the tires to 34x12 RECON Grapplers) and it’s performed amazing.

I don't daily off-road but I'm lining up some dope trips this year out West (I'm in NC and hit beaches on weekends) and I'm looking to not break my truck haha I'm still stock at the moment, just weighing out the options from people with experience. @@therealthomas Well put it this way....my upgrade kept pretty much the same reliability and flex as stock, but it leveled the truck. If you use spacers to level you will lose performance off road due to lost flex. Or you can go with a very high dollar solution that will upgrade the OEM stuff and make it even more rugged. All depends on how you plan to use your truck.

Did your fuel economy change? I’ve seen several people who said they lost 2mpg lifting the front. I’m glad to see a quality tremor specific lift. Thanks for making these videos!

Gives more lift in the rear. It's a great setup! Mine have been on for over 50k, no issues.

Nice video, I really enjoyed it. I own a F150 22 Platinum but I really like the TREMOR look, What parts do you think are the most important to change to it? Im thinking the wheels and tires, what wheels and tires you are showing in this video, doesn't seem to be the original ones... then leveling kit and also I want to put the Tremor Front grille, maybe removing the chrome door handle and use the painted ones

These are stock tires and wheels in the video. General grabber at. To get the look. On the Tremor we have different hood, grill, front lights, skid plate and everything is color matched to paint. I loved my platinum but the Tremor is by far my favorite f150. Thanks for watching!

You actually can fit 35s on the tremor with 2" leveling kit up front with no trimming

Yes and no, it's semantics. Tires are like woman's clothing. A "35 inch tire" by ABC is really 34.2 inches. A "35 inch tire" by 123 is 34.8 inches. Depending on what tire brand you go with depends on if you have rubbing. Most guys are happy with 295 70 18. If you go with custom wheels with any offset you'll rub. But you're correct! 35's will fit with no trimming on a lift. Thanks for watching Brandon!

I didn’t hear you mention it in the video. In what ways would you describe the differences in on-highway and off-highway ride characteristics compared to the stock Tremor suspension? I know the suspension is lifting the truck, but how is the suspension comfort and control effected over varied surfaces?

After a few hundred miles the setup gets worked in. That was my first notice. The first few miles it was really stiff. After that the best way to describe it is, close to stick feel but with more grip. The floating feeling and body roll go away. Once I went to larger tires, the ride now is smooth almost like stock. The only time it's rough is a fast pothole. I'm running 2.5 so my recoil is harder than the 2.0 but with that said I'm happy with the ride both on and off trail. The stock setup on trails was way to squishy and many times the truck would hit the bump stop and front On minor dips. The Halo setup has definitely helped in handling on and off road. Hope this helps!

I don't know if I missed it, but did you mention what the CV angles look like with the lift? I keep seeing mixed reports about the angles because they are lifted from factory and these lifts are going taller than a normal f150 can take before running into CV binding, I know there are some other changes up front like the knuckle which might help, but it would be great to show. Once we take off stock suspension we can't account for the 1inch lift. So a 2.5inch lift is 1.5inch higher than where we were at stock. I have no binding and the angles look good to me. With this kit you can adjust the front and find that sweet spot where the cv angles look good. Jacking up the truck and doing full down drop, I noticed no binding and on trails I've noticed no binding. I would assume adding larger tires will also help with angle. I know on older models max suggested lift was 3in max before binding. I of course will keep everyone posted if for some reason our boots start becoming an issue running these kits. But from my experience and all the other guys running it, I've yet to hear of any issues with Cv or ball joints. If I could take a pic for ya I would but to me the angles look dang near stock. @@WeekendWarriors87 I did a full setup. I have a tapered block in the back. But yes I put 1/2 inch rake back on it because I carry heavy weight on back when on trails.

Does your BlueCruise still work? Some are saying it won’t work when you adjust the height on the F150s with BlueCruise.

Rasing the truck 1 to 1.5 inches will not effect it. My front was raised 4.5 inches to take out rake. Everything works normally. Im now on 35's and the whole truck is sitting an additional 1.5 inches from stock tires. I'm using it as I type this. Thanks for watching Ryan!

I'm new in the leveling kit world. I just bought a F150 Tremor 2023 and I would like to install a leveling kit on it. But I always have lots of stuff in the box of my truck plus I often tow my 16 foot trailer with 2 quad's so I'm scared that it will look weird if I lift just the front. Any lifting kit that I could lift my new truck 2" or 2.5" front and back and not just a leveling kit ? Thanks in advance.

Hi! So the Halolifts kit is a lift kit or level. The total mountain package is both front and rear. With the rear you're adding a larger block. Since you tow so much you'll want to adjust the front coilovers down to give you back rake. Also you could add air bags and keep it level. It's really up to your taste. Thanks for watching!

I've been in the same set since filming this video over a year ago. Great setup. Many guys are running them now and have been trouble free as well. I might be looking at a new setup soon but not because of Halo. More to the fact I'm running even more weight now and my needs have changed. I still say the Halolifts setup will fit over 95% of people's need on and off trails. And yes. Rears are worth it IMHO

Great question. I'm still iffy on doing leaf springs. I've heard mixed results in ride quality. I'm hoping a few more people add them so I can get an absolute opinion on them.

The OEM will not give you the correct angle to get 3 is my understanding.

Can the tremor get a full 3 inch lift up front or is that for the regular f150? How many inches of lift do we get in the rear?

Yes, they are preset to 2.5 inches, but you can go to 3. The rear depends on how big a block you want to put in.

You can use the stock block but not sure why you would want too, that is, if you're wanting to lift slightly. If you just want to level, I would just get the coil-overs for front and not mess with back.

@@David_Tibbals_Photography yeah not a whole lot if options at moment. But my personal favorite NON winch is the Hunny Bager by ADD... I have several buds running the stealth fighter and say the first and finish are really good. Only downside is changing oil filter. Road Armour has a bumper for the Tremor too but I haven't seen it yet.

Mountain package contains skid plates and full suspension with higher blocks in rear. You can just do fronts or mix and match as you go.

@AKS-74U the entry is set at 2 inch. Halo adjusts the coilovers there if you don't plan on the getting UCA. Not recommend to go to 2 5 inch without the UCA

Raptor is wider. Not only does it drive bigger, but a few trails I've done would be pretty tight if not almost impossible. More money for not much more, unless you go to the big motor. Raptor IMHO is a great desert truck.

After break-in I love the ride. To me its less body roll but still feels close to the stock. A little stiffer but not like cheaper setups (RC) I don't miss the stock setup now. The floaty-ness does go away though. I did like that about the stock.

Many reasons. But most importantly I want the Raptor transfer case. I want turn trail assist. I want one pedal drive. I want the tunings for each of the off road modes. I want 4A. I want the armor. And it looks sick with the hood! Thanks for watching 👀
