Best part is that it's quite cheap as well. 2 runs though a mini, 3 runs trough another and a run trough another.

Is there any chance we'll get an up to date starter guide since it's been a while since the last one? I mostly wanted to find out if Red-Eyes is still the recommended low-budget deck to build at the start, without having to dig in a box first, or are there equal or better alternatives?

The newest pendulum SD is good that it's insane that you can get it for free. Not competitve, but it's a godsend for pve. Quick and effective otk machine

Red-Eyes is mostly just helpful for simple exp farming. If you want it to stand a chance at PvP, you need the other fusions but all of them are easy to remove. Everyone has the Odd-Eyes structure deck that gives one extra copy for free and a skill that goes along with it so that's easy to start.

Been using RedEyes myself, it is a really effective deck(you need the setup shown in that video) to auto duel standards and legendaries at gate, but for vagabond and pvp it is borderline trash. Been having success with Triamid in pvp and lvl 40 and above legendaries. Cruiser is a bitch to get but Loading is really helpful.

still havent got gorgonic. Honestly I don't miss it since the whole deck is reciclying, but from what ive seen it is the reason the deck can be competitive

A bit of a question concerning master duel: Isn't their also a route to make "F2P" routes with the idead building decks step by step while having a "core" type in mind? For example: Tri brigade is a really good dase deck, which can be splashed in multiple decks while being able to work also alone. A polayer oould start with that core, and add new types of cards which play well with tri brigade to his library. Concerning the "route": you could present the options which play well with the "base" archetype, so people could decide if they wanna start with that route.

Probably unrelated to your topic but I usually start with 0 gem deck first when I started to play MD. For example, I love to build Megalith deck since it's literally free. But still, you need to open a box first so that you can craft the cards. So, the best one is to open the special staple set first. In MD staples is much more powerful and will always be used than in DL so always invest on staple first.

Ive been doing Triamid since Ive discovered your newb guide and although ive been out of some cards(why can't I get triamids with tickets) I had great success with the Qualifiers event today(mainly to get the gems) and RedEyes has been a great farm deck(and even pvp, but i keep getting wrecked lmao) Have some tips to "evolve" from those two? I love the flow of Triamid for PVP and RedEyes is great to PVE but i feel a lack of control with backrow on both, while also getting powercreeped by things like Dark Magician or bs like HERO.

If you followed the rock route my man gave us, you can also make a good rouge deck, magnet warriors and ritual beast. along with other cards support from other archetype.

@@Fancymustache3022 magnet warriors doesn't have much support... and RB is just hard. At first I thought it was the same as if playing Triamid but nope.

also, even with Loading, triamids is pretty much a hit or miss. Without balance, you can have either a OTK or brick into more spells but I love the deck. It's easy to understand but the "skill ceiling" can be fairly high which makes playing this really fun in that I'm learning matchups, timings, using toggle etc.

So it's either a extension of the rock route or gets a resonator deck. I'd say it's good if you want competitive decks. Not really good staple wise tho. Prefer shs route or ddd route as it gives lancea, breaktrough as well as 3 deck extra deck included, no need to chase Ed. Even if it's slightly longer.

@Jay Canceril cross dimension has fluffals and ddd support. Pair it with truth universe and idea of Armageddon. You get ddd, fluffals as well as malefic and crystal beasts. As well as the breaktrough card. Extending it by adding future horizon was my idea for shs and lancea, but it's perfectly fine without that box. In the end you get a few decks and good stand alone cards for relatively cheap so I'd say I was satisfied. Ddd is tiered as well so it is a good investment.

@Jay Canceril the limited ones. As well as doom king Armageddon and king abyss ragnarok. I recommend taking a look at duel links meta on Google. Recently they have been using some Orcust stuff, but that ain't needed. So relax for now since after Orcust gets hit we will probably won't be able to mix them much anymore.

I'd say it's barely a route in this case. Not much synergy to be found between the boxes. But they are decent standalone decks.

@@alsparkproductions7849 I mean agree it's not a route, but basially a starting point. If you want a route you can go to make resonator deck after Quasar box, but I personally would just go to the orcust box. Also the free deck is so good for newbie. Definitely everyone have to get it while it's free

if you like it, yes. Orcust is engine, so cannot be nerfed unless basically put every card in limit 3 pool. After KC cup for sure it will be touched, but it will be the first hit, so the deck will not straight up die. I think konami will just ban mermaid in this case. Another possible hit would be like a limit 3 of key cards in order to delete any use of limit 3 UR (crackdown, idp, mind control). An example is : harp horror and return in limit 3 pool, forcing you to play 2 harp + 1 return of 1 harp + 2 return , but no other limit 3 (I guess 1 return 1 harp 1 limit3 is pointless). Any other limit 3 is fixable with the release of other cards. Example: you wanna limit 3 or ban the skyblast or recicler? just release Mathematician, or Danger card, or any discard special summon (there are many), and you are online again. Orcust is a deck that will be meta forever, unless as I said you nuke every card. No skill based, so very future proof.

i think the easiest deck in the game to start with is dinomist because you dont even need sr or ur cards to build the deck

Don't you think aromages with something like Ra should be great(unlock Marik then get the card)? Fortress of Gears has them too while also having some good archs, but the core of deck can be acquired by trader
