Yeah they do it because there is real money involved. If I am not wrong it is a whooping 100k for the winner which is pretty huge for three days of playing Fifa. So a lot is at stake. If you can win it, you can legit make a career out of it. When the stakes are that high, you have to be that bit extra cautious. If you want thrill, then go play laser tag or paintball. They are cool.

Why do they always play with assisted settings in these tournaments? Why not play with manual settings only to promote skill?

Fully manual is impossible and assisted is weak. It has to be semi assisted. Most people I play score headers because they whip in assisted crosses. Fully manual doesn't work, you it takes away natural instinct. When I play proper football I don't overthink what I'm going to do. Manually you have to overthink every shot and pass.

Ive played FIFA career mode on full manual settings on legendary with no problems. Its not hard and doesnt take long to build the muscle memory required to be able to do it including vs actual players assuming they're using manual as well.

@@RJ-dw4jw Fully manual is nothing like real football. When I play actual football I don't need to try hard or overthink what I'm doing. The only setting that comes close is semi manual where my focus is the direction. Fully manual is equivalent to using your weaker foot.

You pretty much just admitted that manual settings are the best lol, competitve settings are typically set so the game is played with the most difficulty involved. You're also pretty much saying "Im bad at this game and need assistance therefore this game should be played with easier settings", no one cares that you're incapable of being good at this game the point is this game should be played with the most difficult settings during competitive games so we can truly see whos the best.
