Ioelu was my school teacher at Saina primar sch 1972 He teached som of wel known students in Samoa today with good jobs,some God called to kaukua loga finagalo an som workin overseas today.I one of his students who made it to Sydney Aust an work as a nurse in hosptal. Therefore thanks Ioelu, God bless, Hi Alesi falekua of Peace Chapel Apia .yeah Ioelu was our form 2 teacher but you Alesi, you were the smartest 1. God bless

Went to Leulumoega school with this dude I think it was 1964 to 1968. Yeah. He did the same thing and he was as funny then. He was the best faaluma ever. He's a comedian and man, can he play the guitar too.

It's sad a lot of Samoan culture groups today use keyboards 🎹 instead of a fala (Samoan mat) to drum 🥁 this is what it's suppose to sound like

They still use the fala, pakē, apa. They just added more instruments to make it sound better.

Sefo Ioelu was a former Leulumoega Fou College fa’aluma a year before me.when at Samoa Teachers Training CollegeIe,Ioelu was teaching at Saina Primary still a year ahead of me.so lovely to met this Roma Fou brother when we had a meeting at Faleata Jr High Sch,when I was teaching there,

never saw b4..just watched a modern version of this and didn't realize how traditional it was..very cool and makes u feel like celebrating. i see some of these old moves in modern dance even in the west.

He was our Lalovaea youth conductor and frontman when we had a SO"O with Amaile youth back in 76 and he was just awesome. I still sing our song every now and then...I wonder if he is still alive IOELU...those are the legends of entertainment back in the 70s with Petelo, Siaki, Ta'ai, Ioane Mika, Sio Saulia, Ioelu....wish all their acts were recorded...except Petelo, Ioane Mika, Siaki and Ioelu. Funnily, our youth president at the time was Lautafi Selafi Purcell, the former Minister of the hrpp government.

Comedy is a big part of Samoan dances, and there were many back in the day. Today, many are dry, lame and redundant - and severely lacking in creativity or just lacking in comedy. Still some good ones around. Without Samoan comedy, forget it. Edit: Tamf. Po Asolua - Mati 8, 2022.
