Watched this whole podcast in one stretch and it motivated me especially for DSA coz I'll be going to 4th year and 2 mahine mein acche se DSA karna hai and relieved the stress for sure. Seeing Avi bhaiya(I'm from IIIT Kota) there really inspired me(bhaai aaj IIITs acknowledge ho gaye finally🥲). Then today one more thing happened, I've always had this thing ki I wasn't able to get into IIT and you know I thought something is lacking in me or I am low in IQ from IITians and stuff like that(I've moved on from it like 95%) but seeing Shiva bhaiya and Striver there, it has gone up to 99% for sure(baaki 1% I guess time ke saath ho jaayega). And then watching Shiva bhaiya was fun and he taught me so many things today(I'll incorporate his chillness more in my life for sure and if I could meet him someday it'd be a fanboi moment fs) plus he is so grounded and so humble like damn!! Baaki, Harkirat bhaiya is always a delight and he is the one I look up to(among a very few people).Loved every minute of it❤❤❤❤❤❤ Keep grinding guys, sahi jagah apne aap pahunch jaaoge.👌👌

hey folks, just wanna say that I recently interviewed with GS and got an internship offer over there. But the thing I really would like to highlight is that DSA is very important (First thing they would reject you over). But it is also important to have some hands on experience with projects as during my third round of interview, interviewer asked me about my projects and although I explained things thoroughly but I was not handy with some React concepts so it made him say that How would you rate out yourself as a software developer on a scale of 10. This really made me think otherwise. I am really enjoying building products as of now. Thanks to you Harkirat Sir. I would really appreciate of I could get a chance to meet you once. Thanks

## Key takeaways - Anyone can achieve anything if they believe in themselves and remain consistent toward their goal. - Focus on the journey and the learning process, not always on the end goal. - Skills matters lots more the just degree in CS. - Skills matters lots more the just degree in CS. - DSA is 100% important for FAANG. - Life is a long journey. If you don't achieve your goals immediately, don't despair. Instead, work on enhancing your skills and maintaining a positive attitude. Over time, you will likely reach your goals, or perhaps even surpass them. So, remain joyful, enjoy the journey, and express gratitude. - Excel in one particular domain and consistently upgrade your skills. - People often overestimate what they can accomplish in a year and underestimate what they can achieve in 10 years.

Hi Harikirat, thank you for sharing insights about placements at IIT Roorkee. While I appreciate the positive information, I noticed your mention of 'the last ranker in SC category' (14:16) in a way that may come across as dismissive or stigmatizing. I believe it's important to recognize and respect the efforts and achievements of all students, regardless of their background. IITs provide a platform for growth and excellence to everyone, and it's essential to celebrate that inclusivity without unintentionally perpetuating stereotypes. You're just picking up the caste game in the IITs, which is not good to be pointed out. So, Let's focus on the success and potential of every individual. Thanks!

I don't think he was saying it in a negative way. He just mentioned that someone being from a "certain category" and having so high rank just got the seat in IITR CSE. I don't know about you, but I am also in IIIT and I have really seen people struggle, who just comes due to reservation. NO HATRED TO THOSE PEOPLE. But in my opinion it is not fair. He just pointed out that and it is the bitter truth of society and we must accept.

@@sarthakgulati8948 All I am saying is if you only do DSA in college, after you graduate you will be having an engineering degree and no real engineering skills.. And that should be shameful but it isn't because so many people around us are like that.. Also, you are given 4 years for a degree and if you are saying, you can't do both and do 110% DSA only.. That is just mental corrosion and nothing else. People feel proud to crack JEE, then proud to be in FANG.. These things bugs me.. It should be about the process. Engineers build things, they can see problems others can't see. Linus Torvalds started linux as a fun project, it is now everywhere.. He built git because it was being hard to handle projects as more and more people are working on it. These are the problems, he saw, he tried solving them and as it turns out, changed the world in so many ways. Mark Zuckerberg started Facebook when he was in his second year of college.. Elon Musk developed a game and sold it when he was 13.. and we Indians want to give our lives to dummy problems and feel proud of that.. Watch this: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jN9zrMeGt67epqs.htmlfeature=shared&t=78 This is Richard Feynman, a Noble Prize winner saying "Noble Prize is a pain in the ***" and shares an interesting story that is very related to what is happening nowadays. Someone gets to a MNC and thinks, he has achieved what not but can't really get someone interested in the field they work in but to brainwash them. It is like the British era where people are being trained to work in factories.. We doing DSA to get crack job interview of a corporate factory. Decide for yourself, if you want to be an engineer of a DSA solver..
