I dunno, this world is rather gorgeous to me. I think that's what they say in their music too. We are all part of a natural order and they seem to find a way to flow beautifully into that stream. If anything, they seem very much of this world--this lovely, pale blue orb flung around some random star amongst countless others. Perfect? No. Just a tiny fraction of the procession of immortal atoms... But also, I know what you mean :-)

I get the song is not about my experience but idc... Lost both my older brother and my mom at the very tailend of 2020 and at night I used to listen to this before they passed... It was haunting then and even more haunting to me now... Takes my soul back to a time the people I loved weren't just figments of imagination as they are today, where the memories of them are only mine because no one else was there that can remember them now with me...I hear this song and I drift off like yesterday is as real as today... You know, that comforting feeling we all take for granted of being able to "go home," your original home with its people and the trappings that made it so...I can't any more so I'm haunted by yesteryear when I hear this
