Fable 3 is one of my favourite games. After purchasing the strategy guide for the game, I discovered a section at the back detailing the art behind the game which gave away some of its secrets.
In this video, I explore these concepts of art and give my thoughts.

Oh man, first Fable II and now Fable III? Awesome job, Sky! I think I only ever heard a couple of things about Fable III, so hopefully this makes me more informed about the topic! Hopefully you get round to doing one of these for Fable TLC at some point :)

@@Skyrionn You really made my day with that comment haha, thanks Sky, you are too kind! I think you would do an excellent job at presenting and condensing it down compared to me, though. Either way, keep up the amazing work. Every time I see your Fable videos in my recommended, it's an instant "Must watch".

I was always bummed how if you mine Millfield you still don’t see any traces of the ruins of the hero’s guild

@@Skyrionn I assume, based on the cut scenes, that they destroyed the remains of the guild and mined it before we could see the guild.

Man if the ruins were there and the chamber of fate was still kinda playable and I would absolutely do that option atleast once just for the nostalgic purpose. I did it once hoping that's what would be, but I reloaded my save because it was depressing

Related fact about concept art of Fable:- there's concept art for a female hero in the Fable Anniversary. My guess is that they wanted to make Teresa more iconic.

While I did feel frustrated with Fable III due to them pulling back on some staples (the Hero's Guild and Hero lore is barely mentioned, Theresa takes a backseat, and Albion in general feeling rather empty and lacking in interesting creatures to fight), I adore some of the work that they did in this game. Aurora is particularly inspiring; there's something that has never left me, this idea of this horrendously eerie desert, a civilisation devastated by an eldritch being, and the mystery invoked by the ruins left behind.

I can kinda understand the lack of a heros guild mention seeing how it has been hundreds of years since the guild existed, but a cameo like when you have millfield mined you can see ruins of whats left of the guild.

What i thought would be interesting if Fable ever gets a relaunch would to actually be a prequel. I would love to see a story about the first archon or the creation of the darkness and why they were sealed in aurora. Theres so much that can be explored and the increase in console capabilities makes powerscaling more plausible as its basically canon that magic is becoming less and less important as the series go by. Imagine a world where you could just have crazy magic running amok again.

What I always did was to buy all the houses, set the rent to one notch below neutral so you get good points. Then I'd leave my Xbox on over night. This let me get more then enough money to beat the game, but also make all the good choices and tell reaver to screw off.

I thought that was the most obvious thing to do🤣🤣 I gained enough money to buy houses and stores and then I just left my xbox on while watching tv🤣🤣 It didn't take long. About 4-8 hours to gain so much money

You didn't need to leave your Xbox on. It still counts when the system is off.

More dresses , hand maidens , more conversation with civilians , better marriages , choice to sit in throne if wanted , ship riding , more spells , more damage to enemies , more creatures , more crowns , etc .

Thanks for making these vids man. Fable was such an engrossing series. It might not have aged the best in some aspects, or been perfect, but for the time? And especially playing them as a kid/teen? They were magical. I do miss the more fantastical creatures, like the trolls, but in their case it does show an interesting aspect of the writing. If I recall correctly, they were apparently believed to have been made extinct recently in a campaign conducted by Logan. Might've been mentioned on a unique weapon description. But just that little blurb does give him a bit more depth as the king that tried to do good for the land before bumping into nightmare fuel out in the desert and Theresa's idea of "the greater good."

Oh yeah, the trolls were forced from Albion by Logan but they still exist in the outer nations. The item descriptions are the best places to learn the lore of the world

What is often not mentioned in the comments sections is when you get two characters in a area, both interactive and engaging in the game from someone else's safe game, is a very realistic yet sadly very repeated situation, a huge reluctantance to share or switch the clothing options, I often got given objects and weapons, but never useful stuff like items from areas that I hadn't seen yet, or dyes so I could alter my items in my inventory. Often it was fun just dressing up the female hero in the male and female hero outfits, but it took ages to do so, also DLC was a real hazzle as items in the beginning were affordable but would get pricey very quickly.

They should’ve brought in horses and horse riding in all games . As well as complete access to every room in the castle ( fable 3 more so ) , should be able to carry or not carry weapons , swim further , fly ( fable 3 ) , children look like you , visit the spire , so many things but I will forever be fan

The city you showed 2 minutes in looks similar to the city that was obliterated by the spire explosion in the cinematic shown in Fable 2. Interesting.

I recently replayed through Fable 1-3 and I still love the series so much. It always warms my heart to have videos like this recommend to me, because at least in my own circles it's not as well loved a series as, say, the Elder Scrolls. Also, random tidbit, I knew what "jammy" meant because my nickname in high school was "Jammy girl" from a foreign exchange student. I've always been kinda clumsy. 😂

The greatest travesties of Fable 3, imo? The lack of shop interface, making buying furniture and such a nightmare... and the fact that you literally can't get everything in a single playthrough. Don't get me wrong, art direction is great. Love the Male Mercenary Outfit, even now. But... if ALL your weapons are unique... are they? Give me a 4-slot Master Cutlass and a vast assortment of augmets to customize it with any day.

Same with fable 3 I’m currently trying to explore every glitch and or eater egg in fable 3, and getting every upgrade for every weapon

I liked the 3D Menu of the game even if the Fable 2 one is just SOOO MUCH better The 3D one is just so special you have to like it

Oh my. Fable 3 really does have a lot of cut content. A lot of this doesn't even seem like Feature Creep either especially with the enemies that could have been added. I would've loved some more variation in aurora or at least a better map system to be honest I think a lot of things should of been implemented into 3 overall it would have made the game much better. Especially so with the giant door in shadelight that went nowhere. Hopefully some of these concepts can be used in the future there's alot of good stuff that would be great to see realized I hope they get enough development time

It is a shame. Fable 3 was great, but we did just miss out on a few things. Maybe Playground can take some of these concepts and bring them to life.

@@Skyrionn they need to focus on the story world and gameplay overall that'll definetly ensure the next Fable will be great. alot of the cut concepts fit in the world category

It would be fascinating that some of these concepts could be reused or recycled for Fable in the future. I’m sure that Playground will not disappoint us with whatever they’re cooking up for the reboot.

Sam and max spade's father was killed by a kraken so we know that they were still around by fable 2. It's a shame they didn't have them in fable 2 or 3.

at 02:00, it is not looking down at four objects. Those are four frames in a storyboard of what looks like the mechanical(?) creature being activated or something.

Fable 3 had the potential to be the best on the series. It’s a shame that they didn’t gave a reasonable time for development to lionhead. Would have veen awesome to see the aurora región fully develop. I’ve always felt that After becoming king on the game, was cut a lot of content (due to how fast the game goes from there). Fable franchise deserve Justice.

It gives you New Sheo vibes? You may want to take another trip there to refresh your memory a bit. I don't see it. Patriarchal? By Fable 3 I guess. But we all remember who had the most political power in Fable 1. Lady Elvira Grey. Interesting video. I would definitely like the one of Legends. As well as The Lore Behind Page.

Skyrionn, this video just remind it me, how much potential fable 3 has/had, if the new fable game will be sucsessful, imagine what playground games can do if microsoft let them make a definitive edition for fable 2&3. With more contects, details, creatures, items, and more.

Maaan. I loved the first two games in the series. Fable 3 dropped the ball in a lot of ways compared to Fable 2. I do like how you went to another land other than Albion, but the gameplay and story was weak.
