Paul got a call from Matt while Paul was working out of town to help with a recovery. He didn't have the Taco with him, so Rudy picked it up for him so he could help! Upon arriving, a Ford Excursion was on the brink of tumbling down the mountain side, so Paul and Matt got to work! Check out if Fab Rats and Matt's Off Road Recovery can pull it off.............literally!

You and Matt are so much fun to watch when you work together. Love it! This was a simple mistake the driver made that could have been a huge disaster, but you guys come from many hours away, to meet at a location that was ill defined, and everyone just goes happily to work to rescue this truck. No matter that you get a little cut up or dirty. This reminds me of the tow out you made of a truck that had fallen into a cave-in on the road that left it hanging in space.

I put welding lead ends on my winch and on both ends of my truck so that the winch can be moved to either front or the back of truck and get good power to the winch. Yes it takes some big wire ran to each end and connectors that just twist together.

I used to take a chain block with me off-roading. They were great because you could put a pull on whatever was stuck and the block would hold the load while you used other pullers to get the stuck vehicle moving. They would have been ideal for that situation, and cheap. Great video.

Back when I drove a truck I stopped at a gas station in a little town with three old men sitting outside. I asked direction to a farm in the area where I was due to pick up a load of watermelon. Their directions began with "go up here a few miles and make a left at the old Peterson home that burned down back in the 80s" ....

Down at the holler turn left until you see that old stump, then turn right until you see that area of the crick that washed out back in 79. We are just a hop skip and a jump up the road from that. - directions to my house back in Texas in the 80’s 😂
