ah come on??? no cotton?? lol Yeah the GP really are set back when they find out the some airplanes have a fabric covering on them. I had a A&P student work in my shop and he said the instructor told the class that they'll never see an airplane with fabric on it since it was all "old school" we laughed as we recovered a J-3. LOL

Did you have to do any stitching with your fabric system?

Stitching really depends on the aircraft/wing type and design. Some wing ribs have screws or clips to mechanically fasten the fabric to the ribs. Other ribs require a “compression” load which comes from stitching. The Cessna 140 had rib clips (probably the easiest and quickest).
