Hello Mary! Both of these fabric journal covers are lovely and both beautiful. Also, I love the ruffled flowers and thanks for explaining how to make them as well, and thanks for taking the time and for sharing this tutorial! You did a really great job at explaining everything and I may try this. I’m fairly new to sewing, and I have played around with sewing in my journals page trims, pockets, fabric flips, embellishments, etc. I’ve been enjoying watching your videos, and I love all the ones I’ve watched so far. I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks again for this wonderful tutorial! Take care!

You are so kind. I'm glad you enjoyed watching. I like to do various crafts, that way I don't get bored. However there are not enough hours in a day to do all that I want. xx

Thanks, Mary! I learned a lot, or maybe re-learned. The pieced covers are wonderful! I love the gold and white one with machine stitching. I figured out how you made the scruffy flower. My mother made wreaths using that method to sell at craft fairs. We inherited from Auntie Sister a nice-sized rug made with multi-colored polyester squares. Probably made by a nun, unrelated to the habit the rug has of crawling across the floor. We’re always dragging it back to where it belongs. It never crawls under the bed. It is very pretty and probably indestructible. Polyester is forever.

The rug sounds interesting Mara. Put one of those anti slip mats underneath the rug. I’ve got one that crawls along. Tfw xx

Sometimes I’m tempted to pound in a few nails; but I don’t want to take away it’s freedom.

I didn’t know you couldn’t sew. I think I was born with a needle in my hand lol. I quite enjoyed making the covers, but like everything else, I have to be in the mood. Tfw Deb x
