Dan you should get a cutting guide for the plasma cutter so you aren't dragging the tip across the surface you are cutting.

Thank you for being such a large part of my life (been here scince like 50k subs lol) I've allways wanted an r6 but ended up getting a 2018 Honda rebel 500 because of how badass you have made the magna. I'm guessing that this comment will never reach the surface but I feel that it is something that could be fun for you to hear (I enjoy your videos). Watching this upload as it was brand spanking new, I watched it in bed before going to sleep, but out of respect towards my sleeping girlfriend, I watched it without sound but with subtitles. I am now a few hours later watching it again because it was lacking sound. Then it hit me; You have a really fascinating voice, and you use sound as a huge pulling factor in order to create the persona that you are. Your voice is amazing and I enjoy your videos so much thanks to this. Have a good one and keep doing what you love, because you seem to love it! Greetings from a fan from Finland!

Please like this comment so dan see this. It is SUPER important that you disconnect the battery when welding on the truck. You could sent too high of a current through your ECU and fry it.
@xaytana
@xaytana 5 жыл бұрын
Except the frame is ground, it'd be more likely to travel back through the battery than anything else. Not to mention the bumper wasn't fastened in any way, so there's only weak surface contact, and the clamped ground from the welder would take most of the energy, because electricity travels through the path of least resistance. There's no inherit danger here, unless somehow the ground to the vehicle was stronger than the ground on the welder, which would be highly unlikely in this example.
@lackingtoes121

You should continue on doing your own fabrication, you'll get to the point where you can accomplish complex curvature with ease. Also, if you are planning to do any off-roading with this, especially in rocky areas, do make your own skid plate.

You should see if your welder had a pulse setting. It is very nice for welding 10 gauge metal and will save you a lot of headaches. Also using a normal weld setting you take the risk of warping the bumper and you don’t want that

Been welding pipe and Fabricating for a few years now. I’m sure you already know this, but on a piece that big, especially being 11ga material, make sure you jump around while welding as to prevent it from warping too much. Bracing wherever you can will help as well. In all reality, I would stitch weld that bumper together. Something like 3” welds on 5” centers or whatever works best. Oh, and the layout work that you did is called CAD, Cardboard Aided Design. Shit works everytime!
