Part 1 of the Fabry-Perot lab. Light from a laser is sent into a confocal Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI). When the laser frequency matches a resonant frequency of the FPI, the light coming through the FPI reaches a maximum. The spacing of the FPI resonant frequencies can be calculated from its dimensions, allowing us to use it as a tool to analyze the frequency output of the laser.
