Soon after outraged residents began filling public meetings demanding answers from self-proclaimed “SuperMayor” Tiffany Henyard, the south suburban politician hit the road for a series of interviews to try to reset the narrative about her spending, leadership style and tumultuous tenure.

Actually, there are no consequences for crimes if you're wealthy, powerful, and influential. Henyard is all three because she was appointed as Mayor. At that point, her actions are her own and no accountability exists unless she decides that she should be held accountable. She may do or take whatever she desires.

Is she an elected official by the people to have a seat on the council? I hate to agree with you, but you do speak the truth to power and wealth. It has nothing to do with her ethnicity. It has everything to do with her attitude toward thinking the taxpayer money is hers to spend anyway she sees fit to do that in her personal life. At the 3:12 mark, when she couldn’t answer the question if she took a trip to Las Vegas or not, that was the telling sign of entitlement to position. If you have nothing to hide, then you should be able to rattle off answers to any questions somebody ask you whether if it’s a constituent or a reporter. Her nonverbal reactions were everything I needed to know about this individual. Is there anyway to remove her from Office like a recall ballot in her locality?

I found the loophole to get her fired. Thornton has the proof. In the state of Illinois Holding Two Positions Nothing in the Act or its conflict-of-interest rules prevents a public official from seeking or holding a particular employment position, whether public or private. A conflict of interest may arise only after a person takes office and is dependent on that person’s conduct subsequent to taking office. (Eldridge v. Sierra View Hospital District, 224 Cal. App. 3d 311 (1990).) A conflict of interest does not prohibit a person from seeking or holding office. Rather, the conflict-of-interest provisions of the Act prohibit a public official from participating in a decision that will have a financial effect on his or her financial interests. This prohibition is applied on a decision-by-decision basis. For information about financial conflicts of interest under the Act, refer to Conflicts of Interest.
