I’d love to know how many men go to face mapping facilities or buying fine-line creams, etc. It’s true, some of these routines are health related. But it’s unfair that women are supposed to remain sealed in time, while men don’t seem to have the same pressures.

Do you still need daily spf if you never go outside. I'm very much so an indoor person and I only go out at night to party. I do wear spf on my face when I plan to go outside though (more than just car to store).
@jennamarwick2 жыл бұрын
Yes you actually do need to wear sunscreen even when you're inside! UV passes through windows too, so I definitely recommend wearing sunscreen every day unless you're literally in the dark where no sunlight can touch you.
@ruthie_rosario2 жыл бұрын
If you plan to spend more than 10 minutes outside in the colder months or more than 5 minutes outdoors in the warmer months, you need a broad spectrum sunblock of SPF 15-30. Hiding under some shade won’t cut it (because it’s radiation that we’re trying to protect ourselves from after all). You may want to get into the habit of applying it before your commute to work. I finally got sun spots on my arms and left side of my face from that alone and it was so hard to get rid of. Exposing the skin to the sun’s rays is the #1 way to speed up the skin aging process since it destroys collagen (not to mention the cancer it causes). Hope you find this useful!

its a shame that the average american, much more the male in fact, doesn't get access to or take the time for this. Just listening to the dermatologist, makes me realize that these specialists know a lot about health by just looking and feeling the face. If all of us had this, we would be a lot healtheri AS WELL as happier. I am kind of ugly and not depressed about it. But i RARELY use facial protection at my job and why shouldn't I? just because males are supposed to be tough, doesn't mean that we shouldn't do like women do, and take care of our faces!

I’m not trusting any “skin therapist” who still believes that chemical sunscreen (which their brand of sunscreens are) should be the last step in any skincare routine. Chemical sunscreens should be applied on clean, dry, bare skin for optimal protection. This is because it will have other products in its way, so the sunscreen can’t thoroughly absorb into the skin. This results in subpar UV protection. Only physical sunscreens can be applied last. This has been known for several years now. The only people who still believe this are folks who get their information off magazine columns or internet articles found off a Google search. Although I must admit, the more pseudoscience or false med information that’s provided in a video, the more relaxing it seems to be. Thank you for this upload. There’s a reiki facial video by scarlet hawk here on KZfaq, and it puts me to sleep. I would love that on a loop without the loud sounds from her putting her stones down in the background. There’s also a video from the belated James Randi here on KZfaq. It’s broken up into 2 segments. It’s called “My Fortune” part 1 and part 2. The intro and outro always wake me up, but the scam artist fortune teller has such a soothing voice.

I feel like all this skin care stuff is such a scam. I mean really is there a difference between a regular moisturizer and eye cream? If you think there is are you sure you just haven’t fallen victim to the influence of the beauty industry convincing us we need 100 different products to look beautiful and ageless? Lol 😂
@fantasick88806 жыл бұрын
It’s 100% a scam. The head set is a prop. The face rubbing is a distraction. The beautician is using technical sounding language to trick people into thinking something medical is happening.
@janer77925 жыл бұрын
@@fantasick8880 Exactly, I totally agree with you. Good skin is 60% down to genetics, staying out of the sun helps as well. A good sensible diet helps the skin to look good. Skincare is important i.e. just use a moisturiser, it doesn't have to cost a fortune and you don't need special eye cream, neck cream etc.
@ruthie_rosario5 жыл бұрын
80% of your skins overall health is determined by the products you use. That doesn’t mean you need to buy a bunch of expensive products. I use a prescription retinol cream and it’s completely gotten rid of my acne and dark spots, and I recently found out it’s great for anti aging. It’s an all-in-one solution for $14 a month. Eye creams are different than regular moisturizers because they are usually much heavier. They won’t break you out under your eyes, but they can break out the rest of your face. Eye creams are good for women in their 20s+ if they apply full coverage concealer or mattifying foundation. It’ll reduce the cakey under eye look.
@lookslikeanangel5 жыл бұрын
I have always been REALLY OILY, but then I changed my diet to a vegetarian diet, and now my skin is "normal." I wash with soap, exfoliate when I remember, and hardly EVER moisturize. People ALWAYS think that I am in my 20's, I'm in my 40s. It's diet, and genetics.
