I know I saw this on TV late one night, probably around 1977 or so. It was presented as a very good example of live music played by superstars of the day (Rod the Bod "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy", and a Rolling Stone) back when they weren't quite superstars yet, and how hard they worked to get to where they were in 1977. I was around 15 when I saw this, right when I was just discovering most of the music I would love the rest of my life. Right after I saw this, I happened to find the album for sale at a neighbor's garage sale. I bought it, and absolutely loved it! I remember later on when I heard the first 2 Jeff Beck albums, how disappointed I was when I learned that those were the only 2 with Rod and Woody in the band. Truth and Beck-O-La were masterpieces! That they had both left Jeff Beck Group to join this other band, called Faces. Then I remembered this song, the album. THOSE Faces! Oh well, I guess I can forgive them for leaving Beck's band, because they sure made some good music together. Before Rod started doing disco...

@@lornestein7248 bet you could have written Stay With Me, Oh La La, Every Picture Tells A Story etc. Bet you could have played the amazing bass on the first two Jeff Beck Group records, or thrived in the greatest rock band in the world for almost 50 years. Guess not! Nobody said he was the greatest technical guitarist. He plays bass, pedal steel, slide, sax and drums and is a fine musician.

When The Who hired Jones as the replacement for Keith Moon I believe they thought they were going to get Keith Moon but it doesn't work like that. Both were incredible drummers but Moon was something special and no one would be able to fill his shoes! NOBODY! I believe Townsend was disappointed and fired Kenny which IMHO was a mistake. I saw a Who concert with Jones and he did a bang up job. Was he Moon? No and would never be, but a damn good drummer regardless.
