I know I saw this on TV late one night, probably around 1977 or so. It was presented as a very good example of live music played by superstars of the day (Rod the Bod "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy", and a Rolling Stone) back when they weren't quite superstars yet, and how hard they worked to get to where they were in 1977. I was around 15 when I saw this, right when I was just discovering most of the music I would love the rest of my life. Right after I saw this, I happened to find the album for sale at a neighbor's garage sale. I bought it, and absolutely loved it! I remember later on when I heard the first 2 Jeff Beck albums, how disappointed I was when I learned that those were the only 2 with Rod and Woody in the band. Truth and Beck-O-La were masterpieces! That they had both left Jeff Beck Group to join this other band, called Faces. Then I remembered this song, the album. THOSE Faces! Oh well, I guess I can forgive them for leaving Beck's band, because they sure made some good music together. Before Rod started doing disco...

KJ did a phenomenal job on the kit ( as basic as it was), and could easily outplay most contemporary drummers with TWICE the gear.

This is my ringtone scares the shit out of all. For a folk singer he has heavy treads and is perhaps my favourite song by this band the drummer is explosive. What a wonderful band.

Damn, they were so good ! So glad that I got to see them 5 times from 1971-1975. RIP Mac and Plonk.

One of the great drum solos in rock history.

And the best part is Jones never loses the actual rhythm of the song. It's in there, waiting its turn to come back to the fore. Kenney Jones is a human metronome.

I’m no drummer, but I find most drum solos boring. This is NOT boring!

When The Who hired Jones as the replacement for Keith Moon I believe they thought they were going to get Keith Moon but it doesn't work like that. Both were incredible drummers but Moon was something special and no one would be able to fill his shoes! NOBODY! I believe Townsend was disappointed and fired Kenny which IMHO was a mistake. I saw a Who concert with Jones and he did a bang up job. Was he Moon? No and would never be, but a damn good drummer regardless.
