Thank for an eye opening video. Koedous to the reformed guy that is helping these young people. Most of these problems aren’t just from apartheid , we have a culture of absent fathers when it comes to these kids that gets roped into gangsterism. Problem is the first front for gangsters is the police, yes although SAPS is useless in most parts those divisions which are run well are arresting in good numbers but the problem is mainly with the second front which is the court systems, which is where the system goes horribly wrong. The gangsters know all the magistrates and lawyers who deal solely with criminal law, there's very little or no protection for the lawyers and magistrates and their lives are put at risk and often taken out to get court cases thrown out.. even if the police become efficient to deal with all crime there needs to be more protection for those prosecuting. More than often, are these criminals getting out after a couple weeks in the cell due to personal threats on governments personal... the only way to deal with all crime is to get the warriors from the old armed wing of the ANC "uMkhonto we Sizwe" to take out these gangsters... one hit in one night.. every leader from every gang and every gang affiliate in government. That will stabilize the gang infested areas and give community leaders a good opportunity to take reform with backing from the police.. also the only way at this point to get SAPS to be the best is to semi privatize it to better control funding. It's a shit show... a total shit show..
