No one explains more accurately, informatively and understandably than you! Unrivaled even after so many years - thank you.

Awesome videos, I really like that you explain the "why" and not just the "how".

I want to thank you , I have a commercial lathe from the ruffley 1930-40's era my father gave it to me before he passed away the only thing he told me is don't even think about touching it with out proper instructions ! watching your videos I'm learning I believe enough to start using it for more than a catch all! again thank you!

WOW! I have watched A LOT of videos here, but I got more out of your video than all the others. I am one that needs not only to see or be taught how, but Ineed to know the WHY! Excellent video!!!

Thank you Brian for these informative videos. Your knowledge of wood grain and the effects of turning in various grain directions is vast and you articulate the concepts very well so that laymen such as myself can understand what the best tool is for the job and how to properly use that tool. You are a very good teacher.

Great videos: proper technical explanation rather than just saying "ride the bevel..." Much appreciated.

Brian -- I agree with some of the others: These are some of the best turning videos I've seen. You do an excellent job of explaining why a particular cut works well in one situation but not in another. I wish the videos were available when I was just starting out. Well done and thank you!

I just posted this video to reddit/r/turning, as I found it extremely helpful. If you're inclined it would be great to see you in the community if people have some questions. I really appreciated how technical you get on the physics of WHY certain things happen with the tools, so thank you!

Dang, couldn’t this have been shown in 4 minutes? This is way to long for teaching any type of cut. Ridiculous.
