@@PennelopeWhitmore I didn't know about this specifically, but I remembered seeing something about how many mosquitoes that are in that area, and in the US in general, are actually invasive and causing problems for the native species'. Many of these invasive ones are the ones that people find to be irritating.

I saw a woodpecker working on a telephone pole the other day. The hole had gotten pretty big, it could fit it's whole head inside.

We have one that works on a telephone pole as we’ll only he must not be very good or try very hard as he hasn’t made that kind of progress

That is a shy spider...they weave zigzags so birds don't fly into it...We have them all over our ranch ....they are great to have

Actually, seeing a wood pecker in action is pretty cool looking... but very annoying sounding... I'm a birder but... DON'T TOUCH THE ORB WEAVER!!!!!!!!...this frigging wood pecker that lives in the woods by my house is a...wood pecker without the wood part. I've had two arguments with this guy this year... he just keeps pecking on everything! Pecking all day long! Eh, he's a really pretty birb though. 🥝💚🖤
