Facsimile Dustwrappers - An Improvement Or Fraud? Four Great Examples!
In this video we take a look at four different facsimile dustwrappers. I have four books that are in need of new jackets but the originals are very expensive, so I've bought accurate facsimile versions. These are for a Dick Francis and for three C. S. Forester Hornblower books.

Mark from LLC has been in contact and he's supplied these handy instructions;
I first line up the spine where I want it then slowly wrap it around the front and rear of the book to where the flaps need to fold, then while holding the jacket tightly onto the book I put a small crease where the spine folds should be by just pinching the the top of where the flap folds should be. Then I lay the jacket on it's face flat on a table and using the small crease I just made as a guide I fold the flaps and put a crease all the way down where the folds should be, make sure the flaps are straight and even with the rest of the jacket when you fold it. Then I put the jacket onto the book and lay the book on a table and firmly run your palm across the book to push out any excess air. Like anything else, after you do it a few times you get the hang of it. Just note that the the trick is to get the jackets tight on the book before you mark where you make the folds on the flaps.
NOTE: before starting the above instructions I like to lay the jacket face down on the table and add a few pieces of tape along the back side of the top flap of the protector so to keep it straighter as you work with the jacket.
