To use a suit properly when having a long figure, the trick is to buy a suit with shoulder pads. The shoulders will naturally adapt to make you look like you have a larger back and a thinner waist. That with proper posture while walking and the before mentioned confidence will make you look like a bodyguard, a man from the mafia or a businessman.

Word of advice regarding rolling up sleeves, Karl. Double the sleeve up , THEN roll. Pull the cuff up until it's up to your shoulder or something, then roll the bottom bit up, This allows you, when you want to unroll, to just grab that cuff and BAM! One yank unrolls it down your arm. Try it! I work in a machine shop and have to roll my sleeves up every day. Quitting time, wash up, yank, out the door.

The talk about cowboy hats cracked me up a bit. Where I live it kinda makes sense because usually the people who are wearing them are usually working out in the orchards or something and want to have a sturdy work hat keep the bloody sun out of their eyes. As someone who is tall and really thin, I can relate to Karl's struggle.

We got the same physique, and a suit makes me look like slender man too. I’ve grown out and styled my hair and tried out some out of style clothes that I felt like I pulled off despite some critiques (I still wear Hawaiian shirts), but I swear wearing a wool trench coat style jacket makes walking through a snowstorm almost pleasant

i have the issue that i kinda want to get a trench-coat because they look warm and comfy. the issue is that i am pretty much the epitome of "quite guy that doesn't have many friends and always looks angry" so i have a feeling wearing one would probably lead to a bad impression to say the least.

Back in high school I used to wear ripped baggy jeans. I mean torn up from the shins up to my thighs. Nearly the entire front half was made of iron on patches on a couple of them. Nowadays you see them occasionally still, but you can tell they were store bought. the jeans still look brand new and the rips are in areas that don't tear that way. The funniest thing is people pay over $100 for these things.
