Factory and Conflux in Town vs Town Battle in HoMM3: HotA

Let's test how different armies can do in three scenarios: Meeting engagement, defending and attacking a city. In meeting engagement the armies are of the same size, in city battles the attacker has 10% more troops. First three battles are controlled by AI the last three by player. In this episode we have Factory and Conflux facing each other.

I liked your creature efficiancy tournament very much. So I would like to propose another contest. It would be interesting to see which fraction is the most cost efficient. The idea is to buy all creatures from a specific fraction (upgraded or not upgraded) for eg. 1M. So for example upgraded castle creature (arch angels for 1M, champions for 1M,...) against unupgraded tower creatures (gigants for 1M, nagas for 1M,...). At the end of the tournament one of 16 fractions (upgraded and not upgraded) would reign supreme.

Thanks for the interesting suggestion. I have plans for that kind of tournament but perhaps with a bit of a tweak :)

In the Factory defending match you should have blocked them in after birds dealt with the shooters by standing in front of the gate. Would have turned the tables because Conflux still had shooter left.

Wasn’t conflux in Armageddon Blade super strong? They must have been gutted in this mod like Necropolis

Thanks for the comment. They got nerfed at least a bit. In AB they were able to get 4 Phoenixes per week automatically whereas now they can get 3 but even this requires an additional and rather expensive building :)

Ouch, I heard they nerfed Conflux, but that single unit of Juggernauts basically ripped the entire army apart. The defense works pretty well, though. Two ranged units, I suppose? Really bad luck for that last PvP siege battle though, regarding the catapult's performance. Still, the Juggernauts are actually quite impressive here. Actually, the results are better than I expected for Conflux. They did pretty well, when compared to some of the others.

Thanks for the comment. Indeed, Conflux did ok here. It seems the only hope to beat Factory rests on the Cove :)

@@qualityoldhomm-rd3yu I feel like Cove should be able to do it, but that's my impression based on Cove being very powerful from what I've seen.

AI handled the Conflux defending match incredibly well. Too bad AI sucks with most factions and situations..

True. It seems that with the Factory add-on, they have made some tweaks to AI. It would be really nice if it could be made good overall :) Thanks for the comment.
