4 жыл бұрынWe installed the Jounce Shocks (Hydraulic Bump Stops) from GM performance on our Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison Edition by American Expedition Vehicles (AEV). These are race parts as found on Chad Hall's ZR2 that come with a factory warranty and can be installed by your dealer. Test drive and full review!

I love seeing Z71s built up! My friend Ernie has a sweet one, maybe I can convince him to start a channel about it. He has a lift and new UCAs, Prinsu roof rack and its a long bed.

Road Less Traveled It is actually hard to find vids on non-ZR2 trucks. I would love to see more vid channels/series! You would think that since the Z71 is so much cheaper... that there would be more channels. Them shocks and lockers pull the mod lovers towards the ZR2s I suppose. Can’t Blaine them really. Lol

Looks outstanding! Still debating the jounce shocks. Just got the steel driveshaft in today and will install that and the AEV rear diff cover this weekend hopefully.

good god. over 3000 bucks for the jounce shocks and the cross member. on Gms site it states the rear cross car beam only works on the gas. assuming that means you cant get the jounce shocks on the rear of the diesel ? bummer if true

the cross car beam is not necessary. you can put jounce on the diesel

they do not decrease articulation. Makes crawling and high speed stuff so much smoother

Put the Rears on the Inside and you could use the 589 Shock Relocation Kit!

From watching a lot of your videos, I know that you are friends with G2SKIER. I know he got the Timbren active off road bump stops. Why did you decide to get the jounce shocks over the off-road bump stops? and I'm not sure if you have driven his vehicle with the bump stops installed, but if you have which one do you like more and do you think the jounce shocks are worth the price difference?

I have had both installed on my truck. The jounce shocks are great for higher speed stuff but the timbrens worked great too. I wouldn’t spend the money on jounces if you do low speed stuff

@@CarsCatsCannabisThanks for the reply. I don't have a ZR2 yet but I'm currently saving up for one. Your channel has given me great ideas of what I want to do with mine when I get it and to see how much budget I would need to mod my truck. I also live in Michigan and its cool to see all of the offroad adventures that are possible up in the UP. I might have to wait for the next gen Zr2 in 2023/2024 to be unveiled to see if I can wait for the next gen truck. I think I might go with the front GM performance Jounce shocks and the Timbrens in the rear for cost-effectiveness. Love the content! keep up the great work.

The total Chevy Jounce system is $5800 or so total, inc the cross bar. The striker plate is $2,000, otherwise the price would be reasonable. I’m torn between the Timbren set up for $500 (inc new U Bolts.)

What all have you done for the suspension? I'm wanting to do the 35" wheels when AEV releases the fender flair kit

They were and are back ordered unfortunately. I had them as part of the order yes. Thanks for reminding me they still have not come in yet

Is it true that installing the Uniball upper control arms and the 1.5” spacers voids your front end components Factory Warranty???

What's the are the overall benefits of the new control arms and the jounce shocks?

Much more suspension dampening capacity. Much smoother ride over bumps. New control arms lift the front a bit and have higher articulation, the level raises the front so I can eventually fit 35s with AEV fenders they are releasing.

I'm considering the GM Leveling kit with Jounce shocks in the front but not the back on my 2020 Bison - do you have an opinion on that?

I have the jounces all around and any jounces you can put on will be amazing! highly recommend.

Road Less Traveled it still looks great. I understand where your coming from. If I had the money I would go Chevy performance but I feel you can get king, icon bump stops for maybe 5-6 hundred. Which are great after market parts. Bottom line your still doing great stuff with your truck. It’s awesome.

So my Chevy dealer is saying the GMPP High Angle UCA and Level kit Part# 84621360 is not compatible with the ZR2 Bison DSSV Shocis #84402367. How did you replace your shocks too?

They are compatible with the stock shocks. The long travel shocks are the part number you referred to.

instead of having a hard bump stop when the suspension reaches the limit of its travel, there's a secondary shock there

You do not need the upper control arms to get the front jounce shocks.
