The backround music is too dramatic. Its hurting the document. This isn't a scifi action movie's most dramatic scene. Its an ant document which is interesting to just enjoy in peace and quiet :) I very rarely get upset of backround music even if others have disliked it

I was walking my dog on a footpath one day and came across a Bulldog ant. Despite only being an inch long, the ant "shaped up" to me. Imagine doing that to something several thousand times bigger than you. Gutsy little bugger. Their nests are huge too. A hole big enough to put your hand in. ✌️🇦🇺

ALL dictated by enormously complex chemical and external influences. In other words, ants don't (have to) think; they (not so simply) just 'go with nature's flow'. Humans have a brain which gives them the cognitive ability to chose to ignore what would otherwise be nature's flow--and therein lies the problem. WE are--literally--our OWN worst enemy. A benevolent dictatorship could solve this for humankind, but dictatorships don't stay fair and benevolent for very long.

I stepped on a fire ant nest in Texas when I was visiting. In a flash, they were all over my legs. I tried spraying water from the hose to get them off. Most of them stayed on. I was terrified they would keep climbing up my body. I ran away from them & then rolled in dirt. That worked, so remember it. 🐜🐜🐜

The individual ant has no value, it is all about the colony. The ant has a minimal brain and hardly any vision. The colony is like a very busy machine, and this runs for millions of years. This makes you ponder the meaning of life. Humans do something similar, except we think the individual does have a life and a free will and some time to relax and some fun sometimes. But if it turns out that free will does not exist, then we are more like ants

I'd rather lay in a nest of fire ants than listen to another minute of that backing music.

Cool video but the music... ouch. Also the flashing between positive and negative is just real hard to watch...

If only humans could be more like ants. It world be a much better world with everyone working together with the same thing on their mind. Build a world where they'll survive long after we do

I can vouch for the fact that ants are insane. They seem to think my home is their home, there for the taking and raiding. They seem to be bribable however. I put a large quantity of sugar outside away and that seemed to satisfy them for a while . . .

I believe that to say ants are `self-less' is inaccurate: in so far as we know, ants have no idea of `self' per se. They appear to be more of simple algorithms that act as designed. There is no question of doing otherwise. Has anyone ever showed ants can act differently? I don't know.

Brian Ketelboeter I take that as a positive. They know what there meaning of life is and they don't stray away from it. Unlike us humans many of us don't know what's there meaning of living and struggle big part of there lives figuring out. Ants on the other hand know from birth

That is actually untrue! It has been shown that different ants in the colony do things differently, have disagreements, etc. They are actually not just instinct, which is a false notion that a lot of us claim about other creatures, they are very aware and know they are present; They change their behavior according to circumstance, like in captivity, and each ant is independent. There was even an account of an ant that was sad she was separate from the colony, in solitude, and when the rest of the colony came back, it looked like they were all hugging and showing affection to the one missing ant at the end, it was so adorable.

It's just nature, vegans wouldn't be able to watch as they will get offended that animals also kill other animals.
