I've hold in my arms a fat cat one time and I can say that it's more slippery than a normal cat , and obviously more heavier , so it immediately fell off my grasp.

Fat cats need proper care because being obese is just as dangerous as it is for us.

As a wise man once said "fat cats aren't cute, your cat is literally dying."

Smaller more frequent meals helps significantly too. I have an automatic feeder and it gives consistently portioned food, so I don’t have to throw my cats off their schedule (which can lead to anxiety from fear of food scarcity). Both my girls have a tendency to overeat, so this is definitely something I’d recommend to someone who has similar issues

Most cats can self regulate their diets. Maybe the fat cats are stressed because they are fat so they eat more and the vicious cycle continues.

For people who own fat outdoor cats, remember that they are likely getting your neighbours to feed them, tell your close by neighbours and get a collar for them stating not to feed them
