Howdy polymaths! Today we're taking a look into the wonderful world of American divisiveness and verbal bullying! Here at polymath park, we love to prioritize healthy communication, and the #1 song at the top of the charts is currently encouraging literally the opposite. Let's see what Tom MacDonald and Ben Shapiro have to say about their feelings toward people with differing opinions.

✨ Patrick Compton is an independent researcher, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, woodworker, flow artist, and autodidact polymath focusing mostly on existential philosophy, neuroscience, psychology, sociology, and evolutionary biology. He implements pragmatic approaches to conquering mental and physical disorders, contends with partisan paradigms in education and politics, and seeks to widen perspectives by establishing transparency between the various sciences.
✨ He is the author of various philosophical essays under titles such as “The Tragedy of the Prison,” “The Car Metaphor and You,” “The Responsibility to Pursue Self-Betterment,” “The Trichotomy of Goal-Orientation,” “The Polymath, the Monomath, and the Institute.”
Many excerpts from his book “How to be Less Disappointed in Humanity” are referenced in these video series. He plays the Chinese guzheng and 8-string guitar and has released various albums on Bandcamp and here on KZfaq combining Eastern and Western influences, incorporating music theory and recorded sound design.
✨ Captain Compton believes in humanity's potential and the duty one has to pursue their best self and navigate their best life. "The unexamined life is a life not worth living," and only through examination can we captain our complex Ship of Theseus through these ever-churning 21st-century waters.

Why I am a libertarian :) I left the right due to intolerance but of course there is plenty of intolerance on the left also :)

Indeed. I've yet to decide which "side" prioritizes more empathy but since Trump was elected it really seems like the left has it in this regard.

Great video. I strongly agree with the idea that there should be more empathy and a greater willingness to understand other's perspectives. It seems simple that if people can just respect each other and exercise kindness while debating through their disagreements much more progress will be made. I definitely lean pretty far right and will vote for Trump for economic and policy reasons, but I certainly don't deny that the guys an asshole in his treatment of others. I love debating and just having a solid conversation about each other's disagreements. Good video.

Yes more conversation. Less censorship is good imo. Bad ideas tend to fizzle out.The problem with the left tho is virtue signalling & moral grandstanding which is equally harsh. Good work Patrick

Indeed, well said. The "inflammatory rhetoric" in such virtue signaling is active on both sides
