We have leakage from underground tank wall to the cavity below building lift. So I called this product customer care. They said it wont work for underground applications in this case because the application surface area has to be totally dry, else this material will not stick to the surface properly. So in my opinion it is best used in exposed areas which are dry and become damp due to seepage from a known area which can be shut down for a sometime to allow the surface to dry. Which could take days. So use your judgement. Also in my opinion the waterproofing happens because the compound provides protection with the help of the rubber film that is created over the surface. Using cloth over it helps to create an effective even cover over it. And the surface should not be punctured by any sharp object or any process which can create tears in it. The compound is flexible enough to withstand the expansion and contraction that happens because of the weather, but after a while if you keep hitting the surface its bound to give way. Then you stand to lose because water will again start seeping through the hole. So there you are. This is my understanding of the product. I am not the product expert or connected to the video maker, am just a viewer like you friends. Seeing all the questions I decided to do some research and this is my finding. Hope this helps you. Lot of you have asked if tiling can be done over it or what else can be used over it. Well I don’t have an answer to that. But just know that the process of tiling involves use of sharp tools needed for shaping of tiles in corners etc which can puncture the film. Which the labor will not tell you if it happens. That’s your risk totally. So hope to see an answer from the video owner on this or other experts.

The sheet comes with the product (Liquid Rubber ). You need to use the the sheet only where cracks are there and in joints. Other places, you can just paint. PAint 2 coats minimum with about 24 hrs in between the coats.

1)will it be effective if leaking problem is for about 5,7 years old. Or will have to take additional precautions to solve the problem. 2) Is it approved by related institute/authorities? 3) You have given very good tutorial, however for any reason/mistakes at worker level if the leaking problem pops up again, any corrective action?

I dont think any coated water proof material will solve your problem. If your pipe line is leaking in the wall or if your upper apt bath room leaks to your roof they should block the water by water proof material, which is the entry point. Like terrace is the entry point of rain water to the building. even if you successfully block water inside the apt, house, the water entered the wall will find some other place to flow and weaken the structure

You’ve not mentioned about the surface protection after application of the product on roof surface. I’ve used similar products in all of my Dubai projects. There we’d given surface protection. Otherwise it’ll get damage and will make a source of seepage.

Is It Useful At Place Where Temparature In Summer Goes Upto 45 Plus , I Mean Is It Has Good Thermal Resistance & Insulation Or It May Erode In Case Of Places Where Temparature Is High For Whole Year .

@Yash patil .Since colour of solution is black roof will heat to 53 degrees and room temp.will be ,48 degrees even SC will not give required result that is why he is recommending to apply white acrylic paint after drying the rubber solution, again the same manufactures product. double expenditure .if you put tin sheets you will save money no problem for another fifteen years no company will disclose the disadvantages of their products

more than any thing else i have found most imp thing is to give slope and have a clear sewage outlet ..if this is done even simple ement layer plus some urp will work far as roof goes
