Very nice clean tutorial, thank you. Im not the most decorative wrapper (spine it, load it, black thread wrap and epoxy, maybe an occasional decal) but starting to branch out and look forward to more videos like this for guys like me.

What thread clippers are you using? Seems a lot cleaner than a razor like I am using. Making my first rod.

Love this, your technique on the inlays seems so much simpler then anything else i have seen out there. Thanks much Can you please let us know where you got your scissors and the other cutter you are using
@voodoorods80092 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Those scissors are Fiskars Curved Detail scissors (think I got them at Hobby Lobby) & the flush cutter is a no-name brand that we sell on our site - voodoorods.com

Thanks for the video, if you were going to recommend a wrap to a new builder would this be it? Or is there another you like more?
@voodoorods80093 жыл бұрын
A good starting wrap to practice would be a simple color switch or a dragon scale wrap - there are multiple tutorials out there but I'm gonna post my version sometime this weekend

Can this wrap be used to wrap on guides? Would be tedious but cool.
@voodoorods80093 жыл бұрын
Sure can but mostly on larger rods & underwraps

Is this strong enough for Sea rod’s.😎

can u do 3 different colors on the inlays?
@voodoorods80093 жыл бұрын
kind of - you can ad a third color at the end to start or integrate a new color

Would you try this on a rod guide?
@voodoorods80092 жыл бұрын
It can be done. On a small diameter blank you can probably only a few changes, but its done all the time on larger saltwater rods.
@brettmontey87622 жыл бұрын
@@voodoorods8009 ok thanks, I might try on something else before I try it on a rod guide.

There is an easier way without wasting so much thread.
@voodoorods80093 жыл бұрын
I'm sure there is, but as I state in most of the videos I'm just demonstrating my way of doing things and never say this is the "best" way. Its just easier for me and may be for others which is why I shared it. Send me a link to your video showing your way - would love to see it!
