Fading Steps
- Set in guideline with 0 lever closed
- lever open set in next guideline
- 1 guard lever open next guideline
- 1.5, 2 , 3 guard blend up
- Clipper over comb
- Blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
- Continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard 3qtr
- Blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
- Open lever half way, continue blending
- Continue blending with lever open
- Do any touch up work
- Use trimmers to take out bottom hair
- Do any line up with trimmers
- Shave with straight razor

Video series idea: how about if you do videos where you coach someone in person through a self-cut? Someone who has never cut hair before. I think for a lot of us going the self-cut route have no prior barbering experience, so it would be cool to see you teaching someone the skill in person to see the results and the learning curve.

He’s so cute and did so good through the haircut. My nephew is always giggling saying it tickles as soon and I start lol. The 3/4 level setting I learned from these videos have been definitely a game changer to the blending in my fades without creating a heavier line trying to take the lower one out.Thanks for another great video🙏🏼

For beginners you can try this method, blend the first guideline before creating the next guideline. This is great for starting out to help you not bring the fade up too high on your first try. For example: make the first guideline with #0 lever closed then #0 lever open above that line, use the steps to blend to get that line out. Then create your second guideline with the #1 lever open, then use the steps for blending to get that line out as well and so on.

you can just start from guard number one as your lowest guard and work your way up to 1,5 guard and 2 guard and then connect it to the top with guard number 3 or 4

@@Loukask You can start the first guideline with a #1 closed, then a #2 closed above that, then use a #1.5 in the 3/4 working shorter back to #1 closed to blend that line (depending on the hair, you may not need to) After that you’d use the #3 and the #4 to blend up the hair like he explains in the video.
